Warlord Games Unleash Their BIG Plastic Fantasy Dragon!
July 29, 2025 by brennon
Warlord Games are now taking pre-orders for a big plastic Fantasy dragon for you to use in games like Warlords of Erehwon and beyond. Argloth Rivelwyr, Destroyer of Empires, will be coming out soon and could be a great kit for you to have fun with.
Argloth Rivelwyr, Destroyer of Empires // Warlord Games
This is a big, superbly detailed plastic kit, produced in hard plastic. The set comes with the dragon, perched atop a rock, waiting to lunge into battle, plus the rider on the back. You don't have to put the rider on the back but the saddle does appear to be built into the back of the dragon.

If you'd prefer to remove the rider from the equation, then you could always get something and model over the saddle, making this an unleashed dragon without a rider to worry about. It has an impressive 290mm wingspan and comes mounted on a 130mm scenic base, which looks equally as detailed.

There is a really nice "classic" feel to this dragon, which ticks all of my boxes. It has four legs, two big wings, which aren't at awkward angles and a fearsome face. It also comes in at a reasonable price! Could you be tempted to pick up the mighty Argloth Rivelwyr, Destroyer of Empires?
As a bonus, Warlord Games will also include a PDF of the Warlords of Erehwon Fantasy wargaming rules with your purchase so that's nice!

Seems a rather random thing for Warlord to be releasing. As far as dragons good sure it’s nice enough.
Yep, but of a random release but a welcome one!
If the lady on the dragon is a 28mm sized figure, then the dragon is reasonably priced. It is also a good model imho.
Yeah 28mm scale
Looks painful to ride a dragon like that. Possibly side saddle would be more comfortable.
Storing that beast for transport…. jeebus it’s big XD
Reckon you could get the wings magnetised and you’d be alrigh
depends on how they connect to the body I guess. but could work
Looking at the plans for this plastic beast , there is a small indentation where the rider goes and molded on belly band , but the saddle seems to be part of the rider.. This will make it much easier for those of us who want to kit bash this thing into transport for 10mm Para Dwarfs
Of all of the many, many, many 28mm plastic dragons available for purchase for use in miniatures games… this is surely one of them.
Glad to see Warlord having a go at something different. Perhaps Fantasy will be where they try to pick up the sales lost when 2000AD went away? As long as this is more in the Archon and less in the Mierce price range, I’m in.
Nice. Has a very Larry Elmore-Dragonlance vibe.
