Hi Darrell
I have 2 boxes of these and they are great I have put them next to the FoW T34s at club and there is no scale issue and they work out at just other £3 ea they are a real bargin. I also have the new pz IV wich is also great
Dane
These are about as cheap as the Soviet soldier’s life was too; 5 for 16 pounds! Plastic Soldier Company has some tempting alternatives to form a basis of a FOW army.
Lovely bit of kit. Tempted by FOW. Currently painting 28mm WW2 British paras for ROE or ROF or indeed SOTR. Are the BAM para jeeps any good? Anybody in County Antrim play ww2 28mm? Help?
BTW Darrell, love the reviews man. Sarcasm rocks! \m/
hells yea the best tank my a mile
Bought 3 boxes of these last week following a recommendation from Karl at arkham. Only built five so far but I’m very impressed and they will form the basis of my noob army for FOW.
Just need to read the rules now!
@jp762 get down to arkham gaming centre mate, few people there playing SOTR and I’m sure some of them could sort you for other gaming goodness!
The Russian army did not win becos of Stalin, Thae won Inspite of Stalin.
Or so the ww2 Russian vets say.
When the guy goes and exterminates the vast majority of experienced officers and vets from the former Imperial army but doesn’t stop there and still holds regular slaughters of commanders to appease his growing delusions and paranoia and the red army STILL comes knocking on the Berlin’s door – that’s a true testament to the hardship of the men and women who fought in it.
Sorry, meant hardiness, not hardship. If only BOW introduced an edit option … 😛
I don’t play 15mm but the treadhead in me is still very tempted to pick up a box of these just to have them dotted about the house.
They look really nice and the price is great too.
I saw a T34 does that count? 😀
The Russians also invented the Baneblade: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-35
And if you are so much into the Eastern Front and Soviet tanks you may want to check out the Polish TV series: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czterej_pancerni_i_pies
It was meant as a propaganda show in the 1960s but now it can be described as “Inglorious Bastards realism”
I always thought of the Maus being a bit like a baneblade but yeah multi turret tanks by Russia and Britian could easily be a build basis for the Bane. What is amusing to me is that almost everyone worked out that they were rubbish and dropped them…apart from Hitler who got excited by all sorts of stuff which lead to the Maus and the e100. Russia t34 85 was really good and easy to make, Pz IV was really good and a bit harder to make, Panther was superb when it didnt break down but was a swine to… Read more »
wouldnt mind some of these once i finished everything else im painting 🙂
Thats a pretty nice kit…i do 6 and 20mm ww2 so i have no need for the 15mm stuff from PSC. i assume they will launch this in 20mm at some stage. Im very impressed by PSC and for 15mm FoW id go with these guys.
The entire german tank numbers built didnt even match just the T34…amazing how many they made
