In this final part. Romain puts the finishing touches to the Terminator Lord/Sorcerer's cloak and completes the pale dead flesh of the face.
Hi Romain! Sadly this Chaos Lord is the first model that I have seen you paint. I have watched Parts 1 – 5 and have thoroughly enjoyed your commentary and attention to detail! I’m not sure if this is going to be the last video but as a novice painter I feel I can draw confidence and reference in watching someone paint or finish a model entirely, even though you might only be duplicating what you have already done. If it is possible to paint the model entirely in future videos I would love to see it. Thanks for the… Read more »
Thank you very much, @chaz ! You can search for my other tutorials in the 3 colours up section of the website… There are more full tutorials where I paint a whole model in there, notably a grey knight terminator, a cygnar warjack, and a few others. After much deliberation about filming time, painting only part of the model in a full tutorial is and always will be reserved for the bigger figures. Painting tips videos only cover one aspect or technique, so only one part of the model will be painted there as well. However, you’ll be happy to… Read more »
I agree; very good video. Lots of techniques I’ve never seen before that produce a very cool result. As I said previous as well, I like some of the unconventional color combinations like the red and purple with the non-black that you created. Really great stuff all ’round.
That said, now that it’s painted…will you use it in a game? I’ve never seen you in any of the game-play or model review shows on the site.
Thank you for your kind comment, @obsidian3d … I’m pleased to be of help ! Experimenting with hues is great fun, and almost always pays. There are three reasons why I’m not in the game-play videos : – I suck at rules and tactics, – I don’t play much (I stopped playing Warhammer back when fourth edition Fantasy was out), – I live in Paris (France) and only come to film for Beasts of War a few times a year. However, I have done reviews every now and then. Now that it’s painted, it sits in the Beasts of War… Read more »
Amazing job Romain! I find your videos to be very informative and relaxing. I want more!
I was worried about the purple on the cloak being a bit too.. flamboyant? But it turned out pretty good!
Now, I just need to buy one of these guys and start my own heretical group! Are these models hard to find? I’ve been searching for a little bit and most stores don’t seem to carry it.
Thank you !
Flamboyant is the name of my game… But it is strange that you can’t find this miniature.
Perhaps it is because the image on the box doesn’t corresppond to the parts of the kit I used. This is a multi-part plastic kit from Games Workshop, and can be used to assemble any type of Chaos Terminator Lord, not just a sorcerer.
Check Wayland Games or Miniwargaming (banners above), you’ll get an image of the box and you’ll have the opportunity to buy it online if you so wish (provided stocks last).

Ah ha! I’m a bit of a ‘noob’ with the Warhammer scene, but I’ve been an enthusiast since I’ve been about 8 years old (20 years now.. yikes I’m getting old).
I’m more than likely am going to start up a Chaos Space Marine army when the new starter set comes out (which hopefully is the same time a new CSM codex comes out!), and I was thinking this model might be a good start on that army..truly an impressive looking model, and your painting has inspired me!
Good painting @elromanozo This video and, of course, the new Chaos releases should get me up and going at painting my own Chaos army. Especially this Terminator Lord figure, which has been in a stasis for nearly four years now. Black Legion is my game, I was aiming for a bony coloured armour, but maybe I’ll revert back to something more, well, black. I just wish that I could paint more fluent rather than my usual style of stark contrasts, which do look fine in my eye when I get them right, but usually they just, suck. Either way I… Read more »
