We stop in with Az and the Army Painter guys to see how their game has been going. It's pretty neat seeing how all the gameplay mechanics come together.

Charging with your archers brilliant, your opponent would never see it coming. Next you need to shoot him with your cavalry.

Yeah… Me too. It became kind of a joke with my gaming buddies… It IS incredible how bad I roll dice… Some of my friends say that they don’t understand why I’m still trying.

Really, really want the full demo to come sooner. Having a blast watching how all of the armies are coming together and how relaxed the atmosphere seems.

What a tactical genius.
I’m intrigued by this game, FFG does some good stuff. But I wonder about how the movement templates will work for a rank and file game. They’re great in X wing, but it seems as if they could be too restrictive for rank and file, committing your troops to moving in a very specific arc which could result in some odd positions. But I have no real idea how they’ve implemented it yet, so I’ll be interested to see a full play through.

Looks like fun, but I assume we’ll get a bit of a run down of the mechanics of the game at some point. Other than the movement templates (a la X-Wing and Attack Wing) I’m not sure I get what’s happening there.

The guys from AP look like they are enjoying the hobby weekend as much as the boot campers.
Looking forward to a full demo game.
I am worried over the fact that expansion units have upgrade cards that you want even if you are not interested in the models themselves. Using X-Wing as a reference, you might even have to buy units from a faction you do not collect – Just to get that powerful upgrade card.
