We got down to Salute yesterday and wanted to show off a bit of the hustle and bustle from the folks setting up. The hall is MASSIVE and the vendors are putting together some great looking booths and tables.
How many of you will be coming to Salute for the first time?
Just leaving home now, looking forward to a great day.
I´ve like to come… but sitting here in germany, no flight I can afford… damn
Yep first time for me
I never went to Salute. Every year at Crysis Antwerp I promise the guys from South London Wargames I would show up and every year I fail. Crysis is my local one day event and I am going to UKGE this year, so no time and money left for Salute.
Crisis is still on my bucket list to combine with a holiday in Bruges. Wouldn’t mind going to some of the Italian shows as well just to see what there like

The amount of work is truly impressive, have you used the go pro for this?
I’ve done setup/teardown for non-gaming conventions. When setting up, you want everything in the right place, the displays to catch the lights, good walking path. At teardown, you want everything to fit into the truck with expedience. Usually a mess to clean up later.

It is always fun to see the set-up in fast speed.
So much work to set up done that a few times. Would be good to see a highspeed all day TBH
I’m in the U.S. so I probably won’t ever get to Salute, but I hope to go to Adepticon sometime in the near future.

If I ever go, that would need to be part of a bigger trip to the UK. Canada is quite far for a one day trip.

It feels like it has only been a couple months since I have seen the last one, even though it’s been a year… wow time flies.
I will only get to see Salute through you guys being from the US. It seems amazing to me that they do all that work for 1 day.

amazing how much effort it takes to set up an event, and not even the biggest event, like a gencon or adepticon.
Never been…Want too….Better prioritize this than going to boardgame event in Essen!

So much work goes into setting up a convention of this size. Watching last year’s GenCon vendor coverage displays an insane amount of setup effort.
