Warlord Games are sitting down and talking through what you can expect from Exterminate! The Doctor Who Miniatures Games, and Test of Honour, which is their skirmishing Samurai game too.

The Test of Honor demo game on BoW had me hooked and the minis look great. I dodn’t know that the Dr Who game was a mini wargame but that looke really kewl stuff as well. Warlord is definitely one of the games companies I am really following all their releases.

I was about to add the Doctor Who game to my ‘Wanted Shinies’ list and then realised it was already on there…doh!
I think the Minis look good but not sure about the retro box art design, I think it would be better served with more contemporary Whovian stylings
Both those games look great. I think i would prefer Test of Honor, espacially for the minis!
The minis are looking great.
Warlord really seems to be throwing quite a few really good small skirmish games out into the market right now. Just haven’t got the money to pick them all up (Damn you real life!),
As for the future I’m looking forward to the 2000AD properties coming out especially the Strontium Dog game (and I hope new rules or minis for the Judge Dredd one too – a Judgement Day crossover would be great)
More Dredd would be awesome and perhaps some, dare I say, better sculpts?
In the meantime that Test of Honour looks very cool.

Recently come to love the Dr. Who show on amazon prime, so the game could be interesting.
Dr Who minis game? DR WHO MINIS GAME! I’m gonna need a bigger gaming cupboard. Maybe if I ask my TARDIS nicely maybe she will make me a new gaming room. Gonna have to pick this one up as compensation for not being able to go this weekend due to a shoulder injury. Looks awesome.

I’m so close to ordering Exterminate! and all the extensions. Warlord does do high quality work, but I am surprised that BBC is working with Warlord, but letting GF9 use the Dr. Who universe at the same time.
Test of Honour caught my eye in the lets play awhile ago. Nice activation mechanic and heroic Samurai!

Will be interesting to see these games on playthrough – not sure a war game without the doctor in it would work, but the adventure rules sound interesting.

I loved watching the demo game here. I got a very “Kurosawa film” feeling from Test of Honor. Also I think the it’s not meant to feel realistic but heroic style is a good thing, it keeps it from being a historical “rivet counting” game. While I like history and know that history has given us some of the best and unimaginable battles that fantasy and science fiction battles are based on (Star Wars being a science fantasy reenactment of WWII battles for example). I know that vikings, knights, and samurai weren’t as glamorous as our current romanticized visions of them and when playing games I like having the romanticized visions of them come through not the realism. As, far as Exterminate goes, I love Dr. Who but if I can’t be The Doctor (especially Tom Baker, Matt Smith, or John Hurt) in the game… meh I’ll pass.

Just picked up Test of Honour. Rules are simple and the mins are incredible. Great value too. Highly recommend getting in on this game 🙂

Actually, good to see a games company designier, manufacturing and
publishing miniature skirmish Tabletop (Project Z, Test of Honour and
now Doctor Who)… all without a kickstarter.
I like the use of the early 1970s Doctor Who Logo from the Jon Pertwee
era – happy memories of that psychedelic BBC COLOUR title sequence
and all those Target Paperbacks. Those novels, the Christmas annuals
and Weetabix box games were all DW fans had back then…
Warlord are making Daleks? Does this mean we will get some bolt action rules for them for funsies?

Exterminate look interesting.
Here we are on day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.
I managed to play a prerelease of test of honour, it’s a really elegant skirmish system, with a really good pick up and play vibe, so not scary to non wargame players.
Board gamers will get a wargame but with a boardgame feel, so I think this will do well.
Would like to try out Test of Honour and the Dr who miniatures game. The mini’s and games look fun
i can see test of honer being a good site down game for me and a friend that can get stuck in to a table top miniature game the first time.
I said no new mini games this year. So why do my friends keep talking about ToH?!?! And why do the minis look so good?!? I’m sure I’ll succumb soon.

The progressive stages approach to play the Dr Who game sounds really interesting. Sounds like a good way to introduce friends to playing as well. definetly worth looking into.
I really need to try to get a game of Doctor Who or Test of Honour one day.
I’ve been contemplating getting into Test of Honor, as I already have quite a few samurai painted. Now a buddy of mine has jumped in so that will push me over the edge. That and the lets play you guys did. Looks like a fun game.
As for Doctor Who, well I’ve been a fan for 40+ years…so….yea!

A brilliant game is Dr Who. Haven’t had a chance to play Test of Honour though. The price is just right for both games.

Warlord do make such good miniatures, saw the doctor who table on Saturday they looked great!
I would love to see more of the Doctor Who line, especially the Tomb of the Cybermen set that was shown in the Salute videos. I would like to see how the Warlord minis match up to the Harlequin minis that I have as well.

Test of honour looks good, sadly I’m not a dr who fan so it does nothing for me.
This seems like quite a different take on Dr.Who compared to the game from Gale force nine but Test Of Honour looks like it could do it for me. I have always wanted to get into a Japanese themed samurai warrior game, this might be the one.

One of my co workers son is so into Dr Who. He would love this game. I’ve showed him the website and previews of it. I’m sure he would love it.
I also got a Test of Honour Demo on 1 June at Warlord Games HQs. That is a really easy game system to get into and to play. Great Job Warlord.
