A Full Contingent Of Elves Painted Up For Oathmark

The folks creating the miniatures for Oathmark, North Star, have painted up a full set of Elves for the upcoming Fantasy game. All of these models will be available in April!
At first, we got this shot of the Elves all armed and ready, spears raised and shields looking spectacular. I really like the blue and the overall feel of the unit has a nice look to it. These are how I imagine Elves, with a slight Oldhammer style. While I am very much liking the way Lucid Eye are wandering with their designs, these are great for your standard Fantasy fare.
We also got a big group shot of the models with some of the archers included too.
The above picture shows off what you can get from one box. As you can see they've designed a larger regiment with a selection of archers to support them. I can't wait till we start seeing some of the metal characters that will accompany these Elves into battle.

Those are some good looking elf troops.
They’ll make good skirmishers for a high elves army.
I hope they are not fiddly.
I have the dwarf set and it is an awesome kit. I am gluing it together now. I think it might be compatible with the Warlord Roman kits to produce Dwarf Legionaries 🙂
Dwarf kits are awesome by default …. more than likely these won’t be as good …. mostly because they are elves. 😉
Those look painted like great looking sea elves (without a flying fish in sight). Hopefully they’ll be available at Salute. The only thing I’d like to see would be a size comparison against existing elf miniatures old and new.

Some of the face sculpts are a bit hit and miss. The banner bearer in particular looks awful.
Might be the paint job.
I like the look of these a lot. But would like to see a size comparison before buying. How do they look next to GW LotR miniatures?

According the North Star latest newsletter, the preoder starts on next tuesday! Can’t wait, they will make great elves to replace my KoW ones (spearmen/bowmen/weapon and shield at least). We still haven’t seen the metal ones, hope they are as great as the dwarven ones.
Great for cheap Tolkien gaming. I like the blue shields with white ships. Dol Amorth reference?
I don´t mind, if a face of one or the other miniature is somewhat strange, weird or unappropriate. What counts is the overall look of the unit, and the look of these elf units is great.
I wonder what a “professional” elf-player will say.
Not to my taste, but the old school aesthetic is great and they have definitely hit that look.
Although at the moment I just really want to see the rules.
