As requested by Ben on the hobby hangout, here are some pics of prototype mini’s. I did post these deep in the old forums, but good to include them here to make it easier for folks to see.

Tower starter set models from behindI stress these are prototypes, there is a bit of a scale issue with the enchanter that needs addressing.
I have recently managed to arrange professional painting services for the starter set models, so I hope in I guess a month or so I shall be able to share some nicely painted versions of these!
These are your own minis? Awesome! 3D printer? I like the bases – what are those “teeth” around the rim?
Thanks! Yeah, so these were all sculpted for Deneb by Adler Romero (he’s done sculpts for a few board game KS’s and other things, lovely work). These are basically master prints done through Shapeways, a set of which have been sent to my pal who runs a small miniatures company to figure out the best way forward for mass-ish production. They usually do metal casts but are looking at possibly resin for this, nothing settled yet. I’m keen to retain as much detail as possible and get them easy as possible for usage out of the box (ideally one-piece miniatures but that might not be possible). It might make sense to offer prints as a premium option, as they do come out fantastic, but it’s prohibitive cost-wise per model.
The “teeth” are intended to be magical effects, it’s kind-of high-fantasy, and so most of the models in the Tower faction (who are an organisation of Mages) have magical effects of one sort or another incorporated into their model.
