We’ve got some Young Bloods at this Flames of War D-Day Boot Camp and Gerry has been taking them through basic training.
Lloyd stops by to see how their getting on with building their armies and getting stuck into their first games.
If I was playing a fair game with someone and I lost because someone else dropped a rocket on me from another table and there was nothing I could do about it and I didn’t know that’d annoy me. If we are all playing silly thats another matter.
Have to agree with you there, I assume this bootcamp is going with the silly though.

there is always the unexpected in war so a random event doesnt bother me or mean anything its just a random event to overcome, adapt to or move around as long as its random and down to luck go for it. War is seldom ive shot know its your turn, has the city board got some fleeing civilians, partizans, collaborators go mental mix it up lol
get some nuns walking through the middle of the battle stopping everything ive seen the film its got to be real it was in colour

I’ve always found it easier to get into a game when there was someone who knows how to play it takes you through the 1st few games

Nice to see some younglings going into the hobby.
I enjoy the idea of random effects. We had someone FUBAR in a Bolt Action game yesterday resulting in friendly fire. Made the game more interesting.
