About the Project

Most people will know I often tell John to paint things pink. He never does....... But I have not really painted anything pink myself. So this is my Operation: Pink Tank. I will be painting this M4A2 Sherman pink. (In no way is this a way to troll John with a pink tank, at least, not for as far as you know...)

This Project is Completed

For this project I’m using a 1/100 scale or 15mm scale M4A2 Sherman from Zvezda.

I got the tank assembled……. Which, since it is a snap together kit that I tried to glue together is now most like held together more by plastic putty to fill the gaps than with the actual glue…..?‍♀️?

The turret and the wheel/track assembly are just snapped on for the picture and will not be attached while painting.

Got the tracks all painted and then dirtied up for Sherbet. Oh yes, the pink tank is now called Sherbet. I also painted the details, added transfers and did some weathering on the rest of Sherbet.

Sherbet the Pink Sherman got a wash applied and when dry rubbed most of it off.

So supplies are in and I finally continued the work on Sherbet, the pink Sherman. I now wish I did the tracks differently though, but I’ll have to live with that I guess. I applied some streaks and grime to the sides of the tank.

I fixed up the tracks on Sherbet a bit, a bit happier with them now. I then attached them to the hull. So now the full tank can go through the varnishes and hope to have it finished soon.
