Bonus post: we who are about to die part 2

Game over man. This was an absolute blast, the game keeps you engaged and having fun, we played in teams of three and picked our titans of the arena.

two highlights of the game:

1. A rather ridiculous die roll.

2. The addition of some fake blood as players died.

lol loved the addition of the fake blood, true Hollywood.

But how did you find the game (and will you be buying a copy?)

oriskany

I don’t want to speak for , but he was talking about the game excitedly at breakfast the next morning. 😀

I agree! The fake blood is a keeper for sure.

Nothing wrong with adding those Hollywood moments.

oriskany

“Hollywood moments” and the “Rool of Kool” are sometimes tough to swallow on a battlefield, but “arena” combat like this is different. The “historical” reality of these events wasn’t just combat, but also show business. The historical real-life fights were literally staged to be epic and dramatic. So when the system portrays that, it works.

tmon

Great dice roll!!!

damon

Was it ridiculous good or ridiculous bad? ‘Cos it looks epic.

Robert

It is like what I say about ice hockey, if there isn’t blood on the ice, it wasn’t a good game.

Are you not entertained?
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

Still waiting (eagerly) for this one to appear

Add in Sons of Mars and I’m hooked (it’s so hard to find gladiator figures that weren’t sculpted 20 years ago, I’d love to see a more modern take on them)

zorg

Let the blood flow.

turbocooler

Every reason many hate dice but I love it! The addition of blood is cool!
