Avatars Of War’s Plastic Warriors Of Pestilence Regiments Return!
January 26, 2026 by brennon
Some older 28mm Fantasy plastic kits are now available once again from the team at Avatars of War. If you're looking to reinforce your army of the damned with some diseased soldiers, see what you think of their Warriors of Pestilence.
Warriors of Pestilence - Hand Weapons & Shields // Avatars of War
Their Warriors of Pestilence come in two flavours. The first are the heavily armed and armoured warriors with their hand weapons and shields. The set comes with enough components for you to build sixteen Warriors of Pestilence using their multi-part plastic kit. You will also find optional build parts for making one or two command groups consisting of a champion, standard bearer and musician.
If you want to smash your enemies aside, then you could also opt for the hammer to the anvil above. This set contains enough bits to arm your Warriors of Pestilence with Great Weapons.

Again, you'll have the options for building a set of sixteen Warriors of Pestilence but this time armed with some fearsome great weapons. You also get plenty of options for making your command figures with options for your champion, standard bearer and musician.
As you might have noted, both sets also have a free pre-order bonus, which will include a Hero of Pestilence for you to use as a leader for your army on the tabletop. All of the miniatures have been sculpted by the talented hand of Felix Paniagua and come in PVC plastic. You'll also note the boxes still have the amazing artwork by Wayne England on them.
These classics will be back for a short time, so if you want to snap them up, make sure to get stuck in!
What do you make of these Warriors of Pestilence?

Brilliant old figures, great to see them come back. Their Dwarf Berserkers are incredible as well.
Yes those shirtless dwarfs are awesome, they are also the only HIPS plastic set Avatars of war does, the ones here are PVC, good looking kits but need a different glues and are trick to make.
I love these models but a warning, these are PVC plastic I believe, slightly smaller than you’re probably going to expect, and not easy to glue if they are the double-handed weapon models. The plastic is fine but doesn’t hold the quality of the original resin. Crying shame they are not hard plastic, I think only the Harpies and Dwarf Slayers are hard plastic (I have the latter, they are amazing models).
They must have spent a LONG time in that pit…..
