Reaper minis are full of the character GW seems to be leaving behind recently, a few knock-offs and Homages to famous heros and heroines EG they have a guy called Jake Ryan, who is basically Han Solo,(Jake Ryan cos Harrison Ford was jack ryan in a few of the Tom Clancy films and lucasarts have really good lawyers). Seems like a lot of companies are sticking their own label on Vallejo paints too now(though for all I know Vallejo could be sticking their label on someone else’s paint…), or is it just that there’s only one style of bottle you… Read more »
Are they Vallejo paints with different labels? I’ve never looked at the Reaper paints so don’t no. But I wouldn’t assume just because of the bottles. Those bottles are easy enough to get from suppliers (I have a draw full of them for storing mixed colours in.
Of course, they could well be Vallejo for all I know.
No, they are not vallejo paints with reaper labels. Reaper has their own recipe for their master series paints in the dropper bottles.
I have the first set they came out with and think they’re great. I’ve never used vallejo paints, so I can’t compare them.
I’ve never even seen their rules…how about that. Just love the minis though. The Chronosphere range has some really great quirky stuff and the massive dragons are awsome.
How do their rule systems work?
The rules look like D10 unit activation turn sequence(if you ever saw the first set of rules ikore had for void pretty close to that), with something about using a pack of cards to determine which unit goes when and diferent stat lines to show how much damage a unit has taken, take more damage than you have stat lines, you die, their website say the different rule sets are all built around a basic system, but ATM they only have not-warhammer and not-mechwarrior rule sets so even if the basic mechanics weren’t identical you’d only have two sets to… Read more »
Finally. Been waiting for this video. Wish I could find the new book was up for grabs.
anyone happen to know what mini is between the female frost giant and the dwarf at :40?
nvm just found it
love Reaper minis. Some of my favorite things to paint. Lots with humour and character.
Spokesperson fail.
I love Reaper’s work, often superior to GW in my opinion, but they really should have made sure their representative knew the product line better.
