Fantasy Flight Games has announced two new Starter Sets for Star Wars: Destiny as well as a new wave of boosters too. The new swathe of releases under Convergence brings together more characters from the prequel trilogy and beyond which sounds like a great idea.

Star Wars Destiny Convergence - FFG

The two Starter Sets focus in on a little bit of a grudge match between Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous.

Star Wars Destiny Obi-Wan Kenobi - FFG

Obi-Wan Kenobi is teaming up with Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore whilst Grievous brings two deadly Commando Droids who are able to bring into play some interesting cascade effects as they activate their comrades.

Star Wars Destiny General Grievous - FFG

The new Obi-Wan Kenobi is a powerhouse, as you might have guessed, and it’s great to see what we’re seeing General Kenobi on the tabletop finally.

His partnership with Satine Kryze also provides you with some mitigation of bad luck, trying to roll into the perfect strike against your opponent.

Star Wars Destiny Convergence Card Spread - FFG

A new version of Jabba The Hutt, Captain Phasma and Mace Windu are also coming down the pipeline with the Convergence release so there’s going to be plenty of fan favourites to make into teams!
