Plaid Hat Games have announced their first expansion, but this isn't coming to our tabletops - it confirmed as DLC to be downloaded to your devices by the name of Kraken's Eye. So gather your crew imminently, as there is a new sea-ridden journey to embark upon - which can be downloaded now!

Kraken's Eye includes a whole new scenario to add to the base game, where players join Captain Lory across the rough, storm-ridden seas to hunt down Hellmaw, the fearsome Kraken who resides in the deep. You will be at his side plundering through the rough seas to bring back the booty: Hellmaw's mysterious and magical eye.

Also included within the new DLC are 100 new entries which can be accessed via the Forgotten Waters companion app, breathing life into a year-old game, with new events to adventure across during gameplay.

I do quite enjoy it when games developers add a digital aspect to their games. No waiting around impatiently for this expansion to be delivered to my door, just download quickly onto my tablet and get straight into the action.

There is already so much digital integration with the companion app and now the release of the expansion. It is fascinating to see where this game will take us in the future.

The DLC pack is only available to be downloaded in English at this moment, but I am sure that we will see other language released later in the future.
