Have you ever played Galaxy Trucker? Originally, this game was released in 2007 and I would personally consider this a bit of a classic. The successful card game is getting a relaunch, with updated artwork and slight game changes to bring the space-fuelled adventure to 2021.

If you never initially played Galaxy Trucker, you are in for a real treat! Set out in the vast space, wacky drivers are needed to implement the space sewer system. Yet, these space plumbers are no mere plumbers like we have on planet Earth. These plumbers risk their lives fearing the dangers of space, weaving through meteors, defending against space pirates: all of which with cargo in tow!

Galaxy Trucker is a tile-laying game that requires you to do two things as part of two phases. You build your system and you fly through space. Players will need to earn credits by delivering goods across space, cutting down space pilots in their devious warpath, build the most study of a ship, and reach the furthest on the track with some elements of real-time. The player to have achieved the most credits will be crowned the champion.

Now there is a new, reanimated coming from Czech Games Edition, and they have promised the game to be modernized, faster gameplay and more accessible to new players and of course - more pipes! The original game usually would take me about 45 minutes to an hour to get through, but the new relaunch is set at 30 minutes for a game - so by the sounds of it - the pressure is on even more! Especially building in real-time. Oh, the panic!

The reimagined version will be released this summer, and I am certainly excited to see how one of my staple and fun games - which I have played countless times throughout the years will be made fresh and modernized after all this time. Hopefully not too many changes were made... I already loved it!
