There are so many games out the that are quite fitting with the theme of the world. Whether it be fighting a pandemic or epidemic, there seems to be an influx in hospital-related games with the chance to make a difference in the world. Yes, it might be a world amongst your own living room on the tabletop, but hooray! Small wins should always be celebrated.

The Grizzled: We Care // CMON

CMON has now released their newest board game as part of The Grizzled series. The Grizzled: We Care puts players in the role of medical doctors and nurses in an attempt to save the hospital whilst overwhelmed with a worldwide pandemic.

Players will assume the role on the front line of the hospital, where patients are flooding through the doors and medical workers must treat those in need of assistance. Working cooperatively, players must see to the patients whilst considering their own mental well-being and physical ailments of working long shifts and dealing with stress.

The Grizzled // CMON

The Grizzled was released all the way back in 2015, where players would focus on their efforts in the trenches during World War I, the players would draw a card to recognise the threat and then the players would have to cooperatively deal with the consequences within the time limit. I wonder how this would adapt to a hospital scenario during a pandemic.

Although you may not be able to change the world by playing the board game, you can make a difference. As CMON has announced that for every copy of the game sold, they will be donating part of the sale to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières to aid in the hardship of the unravelling of the current events we see outside in the open world.

The game was released on the 21st May 2021, so be sure to check out your favourite stores online and have a gander at your local FLGS for the new CMON title.

Will you be picking up this title?
