Close Support Firepower Incoming From Bolt Actions Stummel

Warlord Games have shown off another new vehicle for the Germans to use as close support - helping out their infantry - within the realm of Bolt Action and World War II. Here we have the Sd.Kz 251/9 - Stummel.
This was a dangerous piece of kit for the Germans to look after since it came with some good guns for dealing with light armour and of course infantry.
It was also a lot more armoured than the standard Allied Halftracks meaning that small arms fire did little to it - keeping those that took shelter around it safe.
A brutal vehicle bristling with guns and a perfect addition to a growing German army.

I’m excited for this, but the new Churchill is what I have my eyes on. I really want to know how many of the turrets for that thing you can actually build out of a single kit… The Stummel is on the list, though. I love the variety of the 251 variants Warlord is offering.
Plus, this thing only takes a transport slot! That’s amazing.
With the generic selector, I assume? It looks like it eats your armored vehicle slot in all the theatre selectors.

Like the model, it is a needed piece for the Germans but wish they would have put it on a ausf C chassis instead of a D. But then maybe the kit can build a 251/22(pak 40) which was only on the D. Will be getting one and maybe kitbash to my desire.
Rubicon is in the process of making a 251 C/D Stummel detail kit . You get both the C & D upper bodies ( for Rubicon’s 251 ) plus the late version add on armor plate for the D as shown by Warlord . Great kit to use if kit bashing the Warlord plastic Puma to a 234/3 .
Quite the versatile piece of kit. I’m always amazed by how many variants there were.
