Welcome to Day Three of the Bolt Action Western Desert where we’re going to be having fun with Warlord Games, building up awesome armies and taking them to the tabletop to show off a good old-fashioned clash between the British and the Germans.

John and Charlie get ready to go head to head across our Tobruk table for today’s Live Stream game of Bolt Action.

The city of Tobruk saw a lot of conflict during the battles of the Western Desert campaign, changing hands between the Axis and Allied forces.

Our friends over at 4Ground provided us with some fantastic terrain to create this stunning set piece.

Boot Camper Andy earns himself a Boot Camp Gong!

The Don’t Like It Up ‘Em award went to the most spectacular assault, and we think Rommel charging a group of angry Scots, only to send them packing, definitely counts.

The Boot Campers start to get some more games of Bolt Action going for their third day playing across the Western Desert.

Yesterday, everyone got given some new reinforcements for their armies, so hopefully we could see someone claim the tank killer Gong today.

John and Charlie are going head to head as part of the livestream for today’s Bolt Action Boot Camp. Both of them have brought along some big tough armoured forces.

Who are you betting on to win?

Our Historical Editor Oriskany returns with another of his Legends of the Desert series, telling us about some of the fantastic exploits of the LRDG and SAS and their efforts to stop Rommel.

I poked around this morning and found some very nicely painted Germans & British from this weekend. I think these might have been snapped up a little earlier and painted up but they are very cool, especially when you get a closer look at the faces.

Time for another Boot Camp Gong and this time it’s the Overkill award that has been scored!

Christian secured himself the prize when his medium mortar dropped a round right on the head of the enemy HQ.

We’re closing in on the last few Boot Camp Gongs as Helena wins the Heroic Last Stand when her single remaining soldier weathers the full fire power of Bob’s forces.

Throughout the weekend, our historical editor Oriskany has been running a campaign based on the historical events of the conflicts in the Western Desert.

People have been feeding their wins and losses to Oriskany, who has changed the map accordingly. It looks like the campaign may soon be reaching its climactic end…

Before he went to duke it out with John, we got Charlie to share some of his tips for using tanks in games of Bolt Action.

As well as many folks who have been playing for many years some people are completely new to the game. So, this Boot Camp has been a good chance for people to get stuck in and learn amongst a bunch of other like-minded folks.

The Boot Campers still have it all to play for as they continue getting to grips with Bolt Action.

Mark and Stephen have a game underway and Oriskany tries to find out which way they think the war might swing.

It might not have seemed it but they actually did provide some fruit here…and people ate the oranges!

Whilst John is still streaming…someone has made him cry with an explosive way to kill a vehicle in this ongoing game.

In one of the crucial battles of the campaign, we see the Germans running off with the objective, which turns out to be the Ark Of The Covenant.

We’ve got lots of awesome goodies to chat about as the campaign wraps up AND some awards to give out to our Desert Rat and our Desert Fox.

We also had a something special to give to our awesome campaign organiser Oriskany!

As per usual we’ve put together a fancy little montage of our time here at the Boot Camp showing off the hobby, gaming and more that has gone into this weekend.
