Fantasy Flight Games have added another game to their Game of Thrones line up. Here we have Hand of the King where you'll be scheming and plotting your way to victory as you bring Houses under your influence.

Hand of the King

Designed by Bruno Cathala the game has a very simple premise. A grid of cards is lain out before you at the beginning of the game and you will move Varys around it, naming houses and landing on those cards as you move. Every other member of the House you named that you pass at the same time becomes part of your plan too.

Hand of the King (Gameplay)

As you can see here Varys chose to move to Eddard Stark and so is placed in his spot. However, because he moved over Bran along the way he also collects him.

The additional rules is that when all cards from a certain house have been claimed you get to activate the abilities of companions and other schemers in your employ (even if they didn't know it!)

The art here has been done by Тхе Мичо (you can find his Facebook HERE) and it's stunning. The style is fantastic and in keeping with their book representations rather than those from the TV show.

I think this sounds like it could be a neat addition to a Game of Thrones fan's collection.

What do you think?
