I love those sea battles, its that epic look that made me buy into the kickstarter. My brigantine still needs the rigging put on, going to need to read up on that bit to make them look anywhere near as nice as these ones.
I only just rigged my sloop, just been playing games with a mastless hull. It was easier than i thought it would be and looks so much more impressive.
That is a big ship! Looks great.
I like the fact that b&P is expanding. Makes it more open.
Love the galleon! Thanks for showcasing
Also the characters on ship with extra command and extra reload actions was awesome!
Excellent add to the new book and I will definitely be using this!
This is the reason to buy blood and plunder if anyone is still debating
The versatility of playing amphibious assault and all out pirate battles is what sets this game apart!
Love me some ship battles!
I’m seeing that the ships don’t come with sails. Is that DIY, or do they sell them separately?
DIY, and they make it look better at the cost of some playability
On the Firelock Games website, they have downloads that give you a printable template for the sails needed for each ship.
Nice that they went that extra step.
I’m still playing around with sails for all of my ships. I like the look but they do get in the way of playability. I’m experimenting with different ways to add them when I want and remove them when I need extra access. Also, to have sails that are in various stages of being set. But that is just the modeler in me. Totally not needed for playability of the game.
Try magnetising them
Brilliant! This game looks amazing.
Love it when my guys get caught up in the rigging and turn into superman. Should really get a bonus for catapulting my Spanish onto another ship.
So excited to watch this one after work on my flat screen.
Those sea battles are awesome, the mechanics is great and those ships look sweet!!!!
Love the galleon
Dutch Seem phenomenal on water. And those ships… beyond amazing looking.
Wow those ships look fantastic. It’s just looking epic with the table and the scale of the ships. Really tempted to get into this one!
More B&P lets plays please 🙂
I love the Galleon. Humongous, and I kind of want two…
I’m trying to get some local people hyped about this. I have a love for epic ship battles!
Every time I see these lets plays I want to get into it more…
The cinematic effect of these sea battles it’s just overwhelming. Wish you have made more use of the cotton balls “smoke” props. Some nonsense “grapple-ungrapple-grapple again” decisions but to each its own. Great session overall.
Okay ship to ship is fantastic. I love the turn structure and the pacing for this scale of a battle.
Sea battles would be nice but man the outlay for two decent sized ships. Yikes.
Cool this game has both see and land components.
Such an awesome run through of the game. Just the right amount of boarding actions followed by more naval ship to ship warfare!! Seeing those ships in action on the table too has really given a true sense of scale. Good job guys!!
So glad to see an example of a ship to ship battle. Thanks for the video.
I love these battlereports. Thanks a lot for producing them!
Looking forward to playing some sea battles myself
great models great game
Love this scenario
Wow, that was a great battle
Loving the content. Sorting out a freeroam warband build up map campaign using B&P at the moment to run for our club! Now I’m gonna have to spend out to get some Dutch and more ships!
I need that galleon
I love sea battles as they are great fun and that Galleon is amazing so is the Fluyte
Loving the content. Currently sorting out a freeroam warband builder campaign using B&P. Now with Dutch our gonna need more fortune points to get hold of all this!
I really want to try this game…
I would love to see more Ship to Ship battles.
So ship battles take twice as long as land battles, and are fiddly as anything because of the cramped ships.
This game is beautiful!
Pirates! It’s enough for me.
“We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
So want to get into this game, those ships look amazing as well
Finally caught the video! Just goes to show that you need a lot more crew for all those cannons -and to have someone left standing after the shooting.
I love pirate games. This one is even better than the others thanks to the possibility of playing skirmishes at sea
This looks an awesome game!
I’ve played a couple of naval games before, and countless skirmish games, but never played a naval skirmish! I need to buy some ships!!
Been playing B&P since it started but only land battles until recently when we added in the ships. It was great! I love that the ships are more like terrain elements than part of your army, and its more about how your units interact with them rather than them being a unit themselves.
And they look spectacular on the table!
To answer your question about seamen, “I handle my cannon just fine” lol love the question
Great fight! Went all the way to the final turn. Definitely showed play balance.
I’ve been forced to play/Try many table top games and blood and plunder is the only one I chose to replay. 🙂
Love the game! Love the videos! Lookin forward to the next!
Finally getting to watch this one! Got my coffee and cutlass! Ready!
A very exciting and bloody battle report
that galleon looks amazing, perfect for me to embellish now i’ve got a 3d printer too
great to see a ship battle!
Fantastic ship models need to have………
That galleon looks fantastic.
Damn that’s impressive! Such a good looking game.
Thanks a lot for these vids, amazing game!
Works a lot better than I would have expected. Great work on the design!
That was bloody! So fun to watch while working on my own B&P stuff.
This does look very cool but my wallet can only take so much damage.
I’m hoping BoW does a ship to ship battle on the ocean mat with no islands or shoreline. That way we can see the scrolling technique in action. I know how we do it here, but I’d like to see someone else’s approach to it. I’m sure others would like to see it too.
‘Blood and Plunder’ is not like other games where if you leave the edge of the mat you lose for leaving the battle area.
We play it that if the two ships get a full mats distance of separation then the battle is over. Until then, there is always a chance that the wind can shift or drop ect ect. We’re also playing a continuing world. It’s a learn as you go house rules environment.
Moving terrain… and this time it’s deliberate! Cool!
Excellent blend of ship-on-ship sea battles mixed with hand-to-hand action.
Looks epic!
Very cool! Awesome looking game!
