Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
Happy Sunday to all and to all a Goodnight!
The idea of doing a series of videos /articles on the different editions sounds fantastic. The only issue you many have is that sisters only go back to around 96
no they were in rogue trader, Sister Sin is double tapping a rainbow warrior at the back of the book ^^
Seriously though stating SoB for Rogue Trader is super simple as all the information is in there already including points values for characteristic changes
What’s the craic, Gerry’s back, yeah
He’s standing with a hair cut, shouting out
Baby I’m ready to go !
Got my dice, I’m ready to throw !
From the Moonstone, shout it out
Pretty sure those were the official Republica lyrics….
Happy Sunday XLBSers and.

Loved the show guy’s.
Happy Sunday.
Some great golden button projects there, lovely stuff.
Best version of 40k for me? I’d say somewhere between 4th and 6th. I’ve got happy memories is playing 2nd, where I began but the streamlining of the rules in 3rd made it more playable for us and sped things up. I remember 4th tidied up a few things so that my reasoning . To be honest, it was so long ago and various exact editions blur into rough periods.
One things for certain, once the game became more serious my interest wained.
Happy Sunday!

Artel W do some lovely resin for the Eisenhorn book characters.
Happy Sunday COG’s….
40K was better in the olden days.
The first few editions were advancing the game, Rogue Trader to 2nd ed to 3rd provided a different play experience and you could actually finish a game in a club night. So a new edition meant new rules, not just rehashing old rules.
Any game you get to turn 3 halfway through the game and pack up as run out of time, something has gone wrong there, or the game decided after 30 min of setup who rolls to go first the 2nd player will imediately call the game….
3-5th was a fairly tight design as it had more or less the same team working on it, refining it, then they ditched them, moved to 6th and you went from 10 codex to 30+ so 6th I stepped off.
8th was to me they went back to the original 3rd edition, vehicles with wounds yep that was in a citadel journal for 2nd, Strategems, bit like Strategy cards then, havining just 1 up or down dice adjustment rather than the multiple factors. For old hands I’m sure if you compare 8th ed to 2nd, lot more seems familiar than 8th compared to 7th…
Youtuber Arbitor Ian does a good run down of the mental load from 3rd to 7th and why earlier editions wored and later ones didn’t in Arbitors Ian opinion he has said he likes 8th with just the indices as his favourite version.
Absolutely nothing wrong with 10th edition 40k. I’ve been in 40k since the start and I have fond memories of 2nd and 3rd edition, but 10th is probably the most playable version of the game. It’s tight, easy to learn and quick to get through a game. The Leviathan Deck is a superb idea and addition to the game. My only gripes are with some of the oversimplification of the units, the lack of granularity in the points system and the app requiring codes to access the stats even though you have to pay for access (what’s that all about?!). However, I’ve enjoyed every game I’ve played of 10th and prior to it’s release I was considering selling up and Oldhammering back to 2nd edition.
In Turkey a Turkey is called Hindi
I miss my Krieg Hades Breaching Drills with Engineers that used to drill up in the backfield and then allow the Engineers to charge when they emerged from the hole!
