It’s small. The other stuff is far away!
I’m just not getting it Ted
I like that epic is the word for games like this, fun-size wouldn’t hit the same.
and dinky just doesn’t sound very threatening
I quite like the idea of Dinky Wars – feels like something an indie would create
@brennon that’s your next game design project sorted 😉
It’s Friday … it’s gonna be Epic 😀
Welp, that’s my weekly “watch the Weekender and spent some money” done 🙂 That two player set for Warpath is just too good.
We do what we can haha
my bank manager would like to have a word
and a payment? 😉
Warpath looks interesting. Loved epic 40k (space marine as it was called when i bought it) shark thing looks like a gimmick but who knows could be fun.
I like that it supports the artist in creating miniatures for them BUT then also adds on the game. Looks like it could be legit good
😁🤞🏻
Hi weekenders👍
I love Mantic miniatures and rules but always struggle to interested in the fluff
I feel like it might be one of those things where I’d have to really sink into the books. I know they have good lore but I do struggle with it being “generic” Sci-Fi even though it’s clearly not
I suspect that is why they are giving away a novel if you preorder through their website. It’s hard to engage with the setting when they tend to stear away from named characters, you never ask “who is this and what have they done.” I love Mantic’s stuff but when lore is in a pdf, I’m going to struggle to get into that. Some of their novels have been okay though I’ve only read Kings of War related ones.
The fluff is always tertiary for me. Rules first, minis second, then fluff. I’ll play a game as long as it’s good and not give a damn about the lore because that has zero impact on the gameplay, which is what I’m here for.
When a game is fun *and* ends up having good lore (Battletech, Heavy Gear to name a couple other small scale sci-fi games) then it’s just a nice bonus.
Honestly, I’d rather the lore be a little sparse so I can feel way more free in creating my own stories in the world.
Mums the word 🤔
Some very familiar terrain TT combat this is coming out their 👍
For sure – it’s pure Oldhammer love
Great show guy’s 👍
Oh the antics of this week’s episode. Sharks and all sorts of silliness ensue.
Wondering how those Striders compare against the minis from Hardwar/Battletech
I’m sure we’ll get in the sets at some point and can check them out
about half the size
I reckon Bloodbowl rivals 40K for top spot at my local club.
That is very cool to hear
Agent Venom is great, despite the initial scepticism the concept received when announced. His debut run by Rick Remender and Tony Moore was a surprisingly well crafted story and a refreshing spin on a then pretty stale character, instead of the cash-grab alternate version everyone expected. Very much recommended, Justin.
Also, those sharks are absolutely adorable.
Very excited for my Epic Warpath KS to arrive. Planet Shark looks ace!
What some awesome Marvel crisis miniatures 😍
I like the look of the models for Blood Bowl, maybe it is time get into it again.
I will have to look more to the buildings of TT combat to use in Infinity.
Love those sharks – sooo funny 🙂
spiffy
Ooohhh, love me some crooked dice shenanigans!
Hearing him pronounce Tigra’s name as “Teegra” is unsettling to me.
And now that stupid Baby Shark song is stuck in my head and will be all weekend…thanks a lot guys….
Those sharks are ferociously adorable!
Nice one 🙂
Epic sci fi and new space terrain.. oh go on then
I really must build my Chroma terrain. In its flat packed state it does look good, the printing quality is ace.
Who knew that sharks with guns could be cute? Dr Evil would give them lasers.
sharks with frikken lasers ! lol
i watched the midwinter minis build video of the TTcombat chroma kits as well. i cant believe you diddn’t show either the bunker kits , or any of the kits in the “classic” blue colour scheme that matched the 1990’s white dwarf aesthetic ! i am deffo laying my hands on some of those. ( the card one i built from white dwarf 169 is still standing , but its seen better days lol ).
are you guys planning on getting any of these into the store in coleraine ?
The Blood Bowl Bretonnians look really good. Wish others near me were interested in the game.
More interested in 10mm the older I get
I’m being roped in to trying Warpath
Hopefully Warpath will be arriving any day now..
Cant wait for Warpath but am still kicking myself for not going all in… ah well, its not like i lack things to paint!
Blood for the Bowel god!!!
Epic predators you say? There’s just no escaping talk about the Epstein list anywhere these days, not even here.
I must say Gerry totally nailed the Grognrd effect, as a wargamer matures, Heroic Scale just doesn’t focus, but 15mm super sharpe detail!
Sigh. This video is not gonna make my wallet any happier…
Really like the look of the forge fathers for warpath. Really dabbling with jumping on board for them.
New Bloodbowl! And I hear not a massive set of changes to the rules, just a tweaking. And the new TT Combat mdf terrain looks fantastic. I mean, painting terrain can be such a bind but really necessary to get an immersive game – but problem solved here
In the grim sharkness of the deep ocean, there is only war.
And cuteness, definitely also cuteness.
