It’s the XLBS SHow……..Happy SUNDAY Fellow CoGs!
Love the Opening VIDEO…………..fantastic!
@brennon I feel your pain…..I’ve been DMing since the late 70’s. Rarely get to play as just a member of the party. But I ran some pretty good campaigns, (all scratch built, as I have always been too cheap to buy other folks work), and have players that keep in touch from every decade. It’s good to be the King….er DM. 🙂
Congrats to the GOLDEN BUTTON Winners! Well Done.
@avernos I took your recommendation and ordered last week ‘Rise of Rome’ by Angelo R. Todaro. It just arrived today earlier. Love the book! Well done!
One day someone will be the DM haha. The new guy in our group has expressed an interest so might see what he wants to do going forward.
yeah the book is marvellous, and an easier way in I imagine for many people than reading heavy factual tomes
Happy Bloody Sunday, Necromancers! Let’s unbox!
happy sunday
Happy anthropomorphic Sunday!
Ben could recruit various caprines (goats), bovines (cattle), porcines (boars and pigs) and the like – then call them ‘beastie-men’ or similar?
I am eager to get more creatures and make some interesting army building decisions!
Happy Sunday – Just after a canceled D&D session, as we do not play when someone is missing
I try not to run a session if someone isn’t there but more often than not I just make up some excuse why they’re not there
@brennon You should look at Genesys for 40K.
https://genesys40k.com/
I shall have a look
Let me know if you have any questions. I have been GM’ing Star Wars (FFG’s now Edge Studies early version of Genesys) for 8 years. We recently gave Terrinoth a spin and really enjoyed that as well.
Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday.
Best D&D campaign moment was when I DMed ravenloft, very short gnome player got knocked out in a foggy dungoen( limited sight ) and the party just left him there and carried on through the castle.
Gnome comes around on his own and went a different way and got lost. Kept bumping into party, but they thought he was a vampire so attacked him….he runs away heals up and comes back again and again saying he is Gnome not vamp. Had to separate that player from the group for a while but is was very jovial.
Running The Temple of Elemental Evil currently, have done a lot of work on fluffing up the encounters from 2nd ed to 5e
Free go divine sorcerer/ warlock you have access to cleric spells and can buff the healing with meta magic ( 2 healing word for the price of one and you can swap spell slots in warlock for sorcery points to cast your sorcerer spells(healing).
Ohhh thank you! There is so much I want to do and need the help categorizing it. This is so helpful, thank you 🙂
@brennon There’s a few 28mm animals at Eureka Miniatures, mainly domestic or exotic, but the odd deer and bird.

Slightly more fantastical is the wilderness encounters range by Otherworld Miniatures- dire weasels, giant spiders etc.

Hi Ben @brennon you can try Ral Partha Europe who do sets of African and North American animals:
http://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/animals-and-prehistoric-c-59/10402-animals-of-north-america-boxed-set-p-1711.html
Really cool concept. I’d happily match one of my SAGA forces against them. They would look amazing on the table.
It’s the crazy XLBS Show nice.
Has any of you’s called the cop’s to see if they have the brother’s!??
Lol a Irish character that collects kneecap’s?
Ben does animal farm?
Isnt that one of those illegal movies?
Lol? no comment.
One idea for Free is the Zombies game. I found that was really popular with family members who weren’t that big into board games. It’s a really simple mechanic and there are elements within the game tht allows some back stabbing moments.
Thank you, I will check it out soon. They will be converted to tabletop gamers, whether they like it or not hehe!
@brennon I desperately need to see your Saga Geese. It’s important for my mental health…
No not another Baldwin Aaaaaaah
Dr Bashir is Ra’s al ghul?
Warren will be wanting that for a Pegasus bridge?
Ooh Epic Epic.
Great show guy’s.
Great show would like to add I am ripped like Warren “the rock” Johnston.
Happy Sunday…come on Ben heavy Infantry has to be gorillas
@brennon I always seem to get stuck with the DMing so I feel your pain.
Have you had a look at these for some creatures of the forest (no badgers unfortunately)

00:10 Haa aaappy…. bolloks…
03:00 for a second I though Justin’s Gnome would go *splat*
07:50 Dungeon delving…. hmm…. sounds interesting… I wonder, could one adapt that to miniature tabletop wargaming?
12:30 discord RPG is simpler… but in person has better food! and more of it.
21:00 Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagaaaaaaaaaaa
25:30 @brennon didn’t ask @avernos for all the animal options because he was afraid of all the answers. To many options! XD
35:30 “shooty shooty killy killy” oO
50:00 Shroomwood Forrest… noice
52:25 Star Wars: Legion? What is that? Could you elaborate? It sounds lovely.

1:30:00 mercury switches…. sounds nice
1:35:30 I want that epic stuff too…. I want it all!
1:37:00 smells fishy!
1:40:00 a tech wizz0rds project is never late. nor is it early! it’s always on time!
1:41:00 Sunday is already done. *sigh*
Leveling up when the GM feels it’s appropriate, success if the player describes something awesome. These are excellent GM ideas. Love it!
Good to have @blinky465 be featured once more. I bugged him about the idea of printing after the design work, as he has a printer and makes stuff, and he ran with it from there to make dicerollers. The back and forth of postal service and The Event really threw a wrench in the works.
@brennon
Foundry do lots of animals
Happy sunday!
@brennon I don’t know if it has been suggested yet but Reaper miniatures has a pretty good selection of animals that could be used for your animal army. Some of them may come in the familiar packs, others may come in multi packs of the same animal, their bones lions for instance.
Woohoo… my first Golden Button.
Does it get displayed on the project page?
Don’t think so
@brennon have you considered Eureka Miniatures??here’s a couple of links. Warning though if you include any units of link No.7 you will have an unkillable/OP unit in your army as has been proven in a real world conflict.
