    News from ICV2:

Warlord Games announced that Hornby Hobby PLC has acquired a 25% equity stake in their company.

Hornby Hobby PLC is a UK-based company that primarily focuses on the model train hobby market. Their brands include Airfix, Humbrol, Scalextric, and Corgi (see “Hornby Acquires Corgi”). Hornby and Warlord had previously collaborated together on Blood Red Skies that used the Airfix model kits. The agreement also includes an option for Hornby to acquire more of Warlord in the future. Warlord will retain its existing management team to run the business.

I’m not saying you’re late to the party, but your late mate. 😉 It was on the XLBS on Sunday July 16th and in the forum prior to that. 🙂

The Blood Red Skies / Airfix box set did not seem a great sucess, in fact I only ever saw it at bargain bin prices.
