Welcome to the seventh (hopefully not last) monthly painting competition (PaintComp) down here in the forums. Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody how likes to participates paints something up, builds something or what ever creative outlet strikes them
Then, not later than the 25th of each month you post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it!
There are no prizes involved, only fun! It’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.
The key phrase for this month is:
Sinners and Saints
January 2, 2026 at 4:01 pm #1956971Oooh…l nice one. I think I have just the mini for that in storage for… 10’ish years XD
January 2, 2026 at 4:13 pm #1956973Hmm…. I’ll let my brain simmer on- got it!!! OK, “The future begins now” as the old man @avernos might say.
January 2, 2026 at 4:37 pm #1956977No idea what I’ve got for this one but it is a cracker of a theme! Time to go digging through the stash.
GLHF everyone!
January 12, 2026 at 7:27 pm #1958936My entry is a rogue from Heroes of Might and Magic 3. When I first thought of this theme, it was before I’d painted the various demon and angel models, which would have fit the theme much better. But a rogue is still a sinner, so it’ll fit.
January 14, 2026 at 12:27 am #1959074Saints, or sinners? Eldar Rangers, hunters or hunted? 3D prints that I painted up for a dude.
January 16, 2026 at 3:37 pm #1959415Looking thin this month…
January 16, 2026 at 5:49 pm #1959446I ended up buying a model for it but that only arrived this week so *fingers crossed* I’ll get it cleaned up and primed this weekend.

Thoros of Myr is a red priest in the worship of R’hllor, the Lord of Light. He was tasked by his religious order to travel to Westeros and convert King Robert Baratheon, but soon took to drinking and lapsed on his task.
He fought on the side of King Robert during the Greyjoy Rebellion, wielding a flaming sword that he had become known for, and accompanied Beric Dondarion on his mission to arrest Ser Gregor Clegane.
After Beric’s forces are defeated and Beric himself is killed, Thoros unwittingly brings him back from the dead, rekindling his religious faith. He continued to serve with Beric as part of the Brotherhood Without Banners, and accompanied Beric north to join Jon Snow’s journey beyond the Wall.

January 18, 2026 at 4:48 pm #1959677January 18, 2026 at 5:38 pm #1959684I do actually have something sinful that I could have used for this month… Sanguine Sin for Carnevale… but I painted them six months ago… so it would be cheating.
January 18, 2026 at 8:30 pm #1959698@pagan8th I won’t tell anyone 😉
Here is my entry

Not my best work I’ll be honest but the very bendy plastic is making it hard to get things right. Anyway, it’s painted after sitting for 10+ years XD
January 18, 2026 at 8:50 pm #1959704Here’s mine. A Prussian Stosstruppen Feldkaplan from the first Trench Crusade plastic kit.
January 19, 2026 at 8:46 am #1959751This is cheating as I painted it last year, so it does not qualify for this competition, but it’s the most sinful and saintly miniature in my collection. And I know the paint job sucks, but I’m trying to get better.

And @sundancer… snap… only mine is in metal. Also painted last year so does not qualify.
