Wolsung presents an alternative version of our world at the end of the 19th century, a version strongly influenced by adventure novels, penny dreadfuls, action movies, video games and comic books. The world is familiar enough, so you will not feel out of place, and at the same time it has the freshness, dash and magic that will compel you to explore it during your game sessions. The World Tour presents the setting of the game: its history, geography, technology, as well as details on everyday life in the daring times of Magical-Industrial Revolution.

I always been fan of steampunk so this game was on my radar for some time. I had once opportunity to meet Micro art guys - creators of game, when I was on holiday in Poland.  I fell in love with this game immediately. I was  also one of guys on Beast of War Wolsung bootcamp.

Reason I love it so much?

It's fast skirmish. I go you go type of game  doesn't keep you waiting. Lots of decisions every turn and choices to make that will blow your mind. Heroic movement, that creates so cinematic actions,  simple rules that allow you so much freedom and multiple choices in your action. Simple successes mechanic and way to bust them if you really need to blow that killing strike. Starter set has everything you need to play game, free rules and cards to download.  Amazing fluff and model. what else you need?
