Infinity News! ITS 2015 Updates Troop Profiles To 3rd Ed For Free!
November 16, 2014 by brennon
In some pretty massive Infinity news from Corvus Belli they have announced that when the next ITS Season begins in 2015 the new Infinity Army 5.0 program will launch with all the profiles for Infinity 3rd Edition, Campaign: Paradiso and Human Sphere. Everything will be updated for the new rules!
The biggest bonus of course is that all of this will be available through the Infinity website AND they will all be published for free. We do love free and it's a massive part of the way Infinity has built itself up over the years.
New Profile Samples
To get you started we've got a pair of profiles for you to check out for both the Dasyus from ALEPH and the Makauls from the mighty Tohaa.

Effectively Corvus Belli want to make sure that everything will come together and be more balanced and of course updated and competitive for the new season of ITS.
Check out the trailer above too!
Not a big change on the Dasyius, Multi-rifles got quite a bit cheaper.
But I guess most of the changes is in the meaning of all the abilities and equipment.
The Makaul is a completely different beast.
It really shows how they are changing the Warbands
Raises more questions than it answers: – Which profiles will be available on launch of N3 book in December 2014? … and which profiles won’t be until ITS 2015 Season? – Just when does the ITS 2015 season begin, i.e. When is the Army 5.0 tool ‘launched’? Didn’t get into Infinity until the starter set/announcement of N3 encouraged me to jump in. I’ve had Operation:Icestorm about a month now (enough on how long that took to come through). Just how long can I enjoy playing and demonstrating these limited models/rules to colleagues at the club? Ah that’s OK as N3… Read more »
ITS launchers in January each year so expect the 2015 update along with new profiles by then if not sooner. All profiles from the original book will be in the N3 book while those from later books such as the two above, the Dasyus was from human Sphere and the Makauls was from Campaign Paradiso will be updated via the Infinity website probably in free PDF’s and through the updated Army Builder.
Cant ask for smarter than that 🙂
I do believe, that they have said that, all profiles will be released at the same time, if not in the book then as a pdf on their page.
It’s just the army-builder that takes a bit longer.
The ITS runs with the calender year so even that won’t be that long
Then again ITS 2014 did not start until February
Now THAT is community support! 😉
Only question, when will it be launched ?
IMHO 3rd edition should have been out the same time as Icestorm.
Mid to late December. The tentative shipping date of the book is Dec 8th. So give it two to three weeks to hit the states, less so for the people in or around the EU.
No matter what, they want N3 in everyone’s hands/available/released by Jan 1st, they plan on starting ITS 2015 in N3.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
My understanding is we’ll have some N3 profiles in the rule book in December, but some profiles won’t be available until this ITS/Army5.0 launch. I know ITS is meant to start Jan 1st – but they said that for 2014 and it was February before that came out. With every unit to be re-stat’d I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it is there in January.
N3 has been in the works for some time and there are many profiles which have been released since thelast book already in N3 format. Also if the Army Builder which is made by Devil Team doesnt get released by Jan 1st then there are still the PDFs which get released on the main website which will have the revised point values.
3rd Edition coming out at the same time as Icestorm would have meant there were two editions of the game in circulation for 3 months with the ITS 2014 season still to finish and seveal large tournaments still to happen. Releasing Icestorm early gets the starter out and in circulation before the N3 book ships and means that theres only a very small window where N3 and N2 are in use with ITS still being played. Plus it gave them time to work more on the N3 books and N3 profiles
Thanks for the reply deepgreenx.
Didn’t think that ITS would still be going on. I’m new to a Infinity and know very little about ITS.
It’s seems hard to learn more game wise when there are no more rules than what’s in the starter set. I don’t want to read N2 and then have to re-learn when N3 comes out.
