Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 4 – good times playing through these on my PlayStation back in the late 1990s. Does the board Game have a Solo-Play option?

It’s for 3-4 players only I’m afraid (I’m not sure if there are any variants for less). You’re all competing with each other to get the artifact, and it can swap between players many times during the game. You collectively push your way through the different sections, but advancing to the last area (final segment of the circular board) can only be done if you have the artifact, then you win. To some extent the winner will come down to some elements of luck right at the end of the game. The game is part-programming, with 3 actions planned per… Read more »

Thank you so much for the information. It does seem a shame though that they designed a Tomb Raider game without a Solo-play mode – especially as the Video game was a purely solo adventure.

I was thinking only last week that it’s strange there’s been no recent Tomb Raider board game around, then up pops this. Interesting!
(And a quick search on BGG shows me there have been a few! I vaguely recall the Angel of Darkness board game launching years ago with the video game, but I think the less said about that instalment, the better!)

I have my doubts about Square Enix’s ability to put out a good game these days, but I’ll certainly give a free Tomb Raider a try!

I love chocobos, the FF series has made those transportation birds an amazing legacy. I like the customization and random nature of the tomb raider game, should make it very replayable.
