Battlefront Miniatures are going to be releasing a new set of World War III: Team Yankee miniatures this weekend for their Cold War Gone Hot and the battle in Northern Europe. The Nordic Forces of the Swedish are mobilising their forces for this 15mm wargame.

The first of the sets that you can pick up is the S-Tank Company for the Swedish. You get eight S-Tanks in the set (plenty!) alongside three Pvpjtgb RBS Jeeps. You then have two pretty ace-looking HKP 9 Helicopters swooping in from on high and everything else you need to get started in Team Yankee. That means an A5 Rulebook, Start Here Booklet and the various Unit Cards.

New Swedish Platoons!

If you just need more S-Tanks in your collection then Battlefront are giving you the chance to snap them up. A bonus STRV 103 S-Tank Platoon is going to be up for grabs with three of them coming in the set.

This is a pretty awesome main battle tank with an unconventional design. The low profile made it pretty darn good at avoiding return fire from the enemy. Moving the fixed gun was done by engaging the tracks and the hull suspension which is rather nifty!

Next up, we also have the Centurion Tank Platoon which offers up five of these metal beasts!

The British Centurion has been used by the Swedish since 1953. These new Centurions were given new sights and an improved fire control system. The older engine was also replaced by one from an American M60. A solid workhorse of a tank that slots nicely into your Swedish force but can also be used by the Danish.

Moving away from tanks, we also have the PBV 302 Platoon.

This is a high-mobility armoured personnel carrier that was built to suit the Swedes. It was very good off-road and could work in the Summer as well as the Winter. This makes it a good vehicle to get your infantry from point A to point B when it comes to controlling objectives.

No, this isn't a typo. Have a peek at the Pvpjtgb 1111 Platoon!

This is the Pansarvärnspjästerrängbil. What a name. Popularly known as "The Puppy", this vehicle became a long-serving part of the Swedish army and could be armed with different weapons as you can see above. The sporty design of the vehicle meant that a lot of drivers gunned it a little hard and ended up causing more than a couple of accidents. A rollbar was added eventually to help but it would probably make sense to be a little careful when carting around big guns.

Bring Out The Infantry

Last but not least, we have some infantry to slot in alongside the vehicles that we've seen here. Could you be tempted by an Armoured Rifle Platoon?

This set comes with a variety of basic riflemen alongside MG Teams, Anti-Tank Teams and the RBS-56 BILL Missile Team. Slot these in alongside the APCs that we saw earlier and you'll be able to take quite a few objectives from the Soviets.

Swedish Unit Cards - Get Army Building!

Last but not least, we also have a set of Swedish Unit Cards which will allow you to do some army building whilst you're having a nice cup of tea during your break.

As you might have guessed, this set comes with all of the Unit Cards you need for playing as the Swedish in World War III: Team Yankee.

Could you be tempted to go with the Swedish this weekend?
