The Dark, The Devout And The Heroic is the new Kickstarter campaign from Oathsworn Miniatures which is launching on 29th March. This quick campaign, which will run until 2nd April, will offer up a brand new selection of Fantasy miniatures for Burrows & Badgers.

This new campaign focuses on the idea of evil spellcasters, witches and warlocks who are summoning forth the dread mist-ghasts to do their bidding. On the other side, you'll also have the fiery and zealous witch-finders and hunters who have been sent out into the wilderness to stop them.

Stuck between those two warring factions (both good ideas for themed warbands!) you'll also find more general miniatures for bulking out your collection. You can see some of them in the preview image above including a Puffin Pirate, Hare Knight, Fox Knight and even that swashbuckling Mouse!

The vast majority of miniatures for this Kickstarter are going to be cast in metal although some of the larger pieces, like the Badger Ranger (at the back of the image) are going to be cast in resin. All the miniatures are one-piece though so you just have to pop them on their bases and get ready to paint!

As you might imagine, I am quite excited about this campaign. I'm currently feeling in a bit of a rut when it comes to painting but the inventive and unique range by Oathsworn always manages to break me out of it. Looks like I'm going to need some more shelf space...
