Fantastic New Death Trooper 3D Glasses Planned For Rogue One
August 26, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Like we needed one more reason to lose our minds over Disney's upcoming Rogue One - check out these killer collectible 3D glasses planned for Rogue One! Is there any better way to really immerse yourself into the movie experience than by donning your own pair of Death Trooper shades from the movie?
I think not. No word yet on which theaters will have these bad boys, but I'd think any fan worth their salt would go out of their way to make sure they get a pair. (it's on my list of things to do)
Will you be watching Rogue One with your own Death Trooper 3D shades?

Not interested in seeing films in 3D, so won’t be hunting down/picking up a pair of these, but I can see a lot of them getting nabbed by cosplayers; I’m sure anyone wanting to make their own Death Trooper or Stormtrooper costumes will want them to make the job of making the helmet easier, and I can see them being picked up for general Sci-fi/dystopian cosplays and LARPs.
Same here. Then again I can’t handle 3D so there is that.
Yeah…3D isn’t worthwhile in my opinion. They can come back with it for another round once it’s full HD or 4K all across the image with no warping/bending anywhere. I much prefer 2D movies until then. Very nice looking glasses though. Too bad they can’t function as ordinary glasses ;P
Limitation of the tech will always have elements of warping untill we can directly manipulate the optic nerve. Sad thing is that it’s probably going to be 3d films which drives the development of tech to return/give site to the blind…
3D annoys me after a relatively short time so I stick to the 2D versions of everything, at home or in the cinema. I would far rather they spend the money on a good script, engaging characters and decent actors than on 3D CGI gimmickry
would wear these for airsoft (I know the lenses would be too soft , go with me here), but I don’t want to see the bb coming in 3d…
You know, since the 3ds came out and other similar things, I keep hoping that they either switch to that sort of 3D or eliminate it. The glasses are a seriously headache inducing pain in the rear for anyone who needs to actually wear glasses…and several who don’t
Only works with fixed focus, precise viewing angles impossible to make it work scaled up to TV or cinema size due to many different viewing angles, could work as a monitor though
actually … there are/were tv’s that had glasses free 3D.

The tech dates back to 1985 according to wiki :

I suspect that we got 3D tv with glasses for the same reason we’re getting 4k instead of 8k : the industry can make more money by making us pay for two upgrades instead of one.
@limburger glasses for current active 3d are needed to rapidly vary the opacity of a lens so only one eye gets a picture at a time, with the image you get being shifted a few pixels over to trick brain into perceiving 3d its the rapid shuttering which gives people headaches and eye fatigue. The stereoscopic effect only works properly in a narrow field of view, try shouldersurfing someone on a 3ds to see what I mean, which was one of the main reasons that tech didn’t take off. Works fine on a narrow viewing angle, I.e. 3ds, laptop, pc… Read more »
those are the coolest 3d glasses I have seen , whether you like 3d or not.
not a fan of 3d but I like shades.
interesting but how many body parts do you need to sell to get them or Bothan’s?
