Empress Miniatures has expanded their option for a bit of warfare during the Cold War period. Some new 28mm miniatures for the SBS (Special Boat Service) and SAS (Special Air Service) have been added to their webstore.

SBS/SAS Pack #1 // Empress Miniatures

Modelled on photography from the period of the Falklands War, Empress Miniatures has tried to design these miniatures as specialists for you to use in the aforementioned conflict and as far as Northern Europe if you so desired!

The first of the packs come with a set of soldiers wearing their Bergen and dressed up in cold weather kit. You have two soldiers using M16A1 whilst you also have a CAR-15 and then a soldier lugging around an M16A1, M2O3GL and LAWS.

The second of the packs come with soldiers who are in the midst of a firefight perhaps. Maybe their patrol has been ambushed and they are having to respond to their threat by digging in and spotting their foe.

Again, these soldiers come with their Bergen but you then have a different mix of weapons. You have the L1A1 SLR, LAWS, M16A1, M2O3GL and an M16A1 with a Starlight Night Scope. You will also notice that one of them is, as Empress Miniatures refer to them, a "Radio Chap".

Once again, the sculpting is great on these miniatures and it allows you to bulk out a period of warfare that doesn't often get looked at. All of the 28mm figures come with attached heads and a couple of the miniatures per pack have separate arms.
