Fight For The Peninsular With New Epic Battles Napoleonic British
October 14, 2024 by brennon
Warlord Games are going to be taking their Napoleonic battles to the Peninsular with some new epic-scale miniatures for Epic Battles. There are some new infantry options and artillery kits for you to add to your collection.
British Line Infantry - Peninsular // Warlord Games
This set gives you Line Infantry for battling in Spain and Portugal against the French. If you're a fan of Sharpe then you might want to scoop these up and battle under Sir Arthur Wellesley. They are all wearing their classic stovepipe shakoes and are cast in Warlord Resin.
Miniature-wise, the set comes with two battalions of Peninsular British Infantry (with command) alongside a Peninsular British Flag Sheet and all of the bases. You just need some Rifles to do some scouting for these regular infantrymen.
You can also get a set of British Light Infantry which could be used at Waterloo and on the Peninsular.
British Light Infantry // Warlord Games
Get your hands on the British Light Infantry which could engage in "small unit tactics, initiative and marksmanship". They worked similarly to the French Voltigeurs as both advance or rear guard but they could also be drafted into the main battleline.
This set comes with two battalions of British Light Infantry (including command) in Warlord Resin. They look rather spiffy!
Last but not least, you can also get yourself some British Foot Artillery designed for the Peninsular War.

Blast the French with some 12-pounder guns deployed by the Royal Artillery. Fire a salvo at the enemy on the field of battle or use them to take down defences that the French might have holed up in.
Are you going to be getting some of these new kits for your Black Powder battles on an epic scale?

I just got back from London, managed to visit the imperial and national war museums. Turns out one of the first VC awarded was a lad from my home town of Llanelli. Bit after the time of these lovely mninis which I immediately pre ordered but considering I went with Napoleonics in London going to be reading up on the Crimea and the Redan assaults in particular.
