Kromlech’s Firstborn March To War With New Miniatures
February 26, 2025 by brennon
Kromlech has added a bunch of awesome new Sci-Fi miniatures to their webstore for those seeking to run an alternative regiment in your grimdark wargames of the Sci-Fi future. The Firstborn are marching to war.
Firstborn Regiment Command Squad // Kromlech
Leading the way is the Firstborn Regiment Command Squad which gives you your officers to lead the way on the battlefield as well as their staff that keep the war churning on. The set has a Commander, Standard Bearer, Field Medic, Comms Specialist and a Veteran. A good set that you'll note might be handy for those missing their Vostroyans.
At the core of your army you'll then find your Firstborn Regiment Infantry Squad which gives you the battle-hardened troops who do all of seriously hard work.

The set comes with enough bits for you to make nine Guardsmen and one Sergeant. The heads and bodies all have unique designs and you've got options for special weapons like the Flamethrower, Sniper Rifle, Magma Gun, Grenade Launcher, Plasma Gun and Thunder Rifle. You've also got options for the Sergeant with a Chain Sword, Power Sword, Power Fist, Las Pistol, Plasma Pistol and Thunder Pistol.
I think it's a great set. Their hats could be bigger and more over-the-top but otherwise, I think this is a solid kit for those seeking to see a resurgence of that particular Warhammer 40,000 regiment on the tabletop.
Covering your infantry, you've also got the Firstborn Regiment Heavy Weapons Squads. Covering fire is important as your troops are storming forward and if a couple of your allies get caught in the crossfire, it doesn't matter if you still managed to kill mostly foes, right?

The set allows you to build a Heavy Laser Rifle, Heavy Thunder Rifle, Autocannon, Missile Launcher and Mortar. This means that you should be able to shred infantry as well as armour should it start breaking through the front lines.
If you want to cause even more damage then you can also get your hands on some very heavy artillery...

As well as buying a bunch of different sets as you can see above, there are also options on the Kromlech webstore for you to buy a lot of the components separately so you can mix them in with other plastic, resin and metal kits. You can find all of that HERE.
Could they be a nice alternative for Astra Militarum collectors?

Kromlech is giving G’Wullu really a run for its money. First O’kz now humies! XD
Always have. Prices aren’t much cheaper, models are pretty cool.
Nice, but the shoulders seem very broad? I think I prefer WA’s Grognards for Vostroyans? Also pricewise.
Vostroyan! Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. A long time. @lonkelo
They are fabulous looking figures for gaming with
