Bandai are pulling out all the stops for Star Wars as a recent event showed. Hobby Link grabbed a whole bunch of rather ace images of the upcoming range that features X-Wings, TIE Fighters, Darth Vader, Star Destroyers and even Droids! And yes, these are kits!

X-Wing

X-Wing Starfighter

X-Wing Starfighter (Rear)

The first thing to take a look at are some of the X-Wing in 1/72 scale. Some of them even come with little lights in the engines and such which can be switched on or off at the bases. You can see an example of that above with the Starfighter and it's engines.

TIE Fighters

TIE Advanced

Star Destroyer

Star Destroyer (Rear)

On the side of the enemies they have TIE Fighters and TIE Advanced alongside things like this massive Star Destroyer. This is in 1/700 scale and understandably is quite the impressive kit. It should be reinforced once again that these are actually kits so you'll be sitting down for quite a while when it comes to putting them together. Imagine the project time on the Star Destroyer!

Death Star Display

One of the cool diorama pieces that you can also work towards is this one showing the trench run at the end of A New Hope. It even includes (look closely to the left of the image) the bomb going into that rather awkward design fault with the Death Star. Quite the monumental moment.

Darth Vader

Stormtrooper

R2-D2 & R5-D4

C-3P0

As well as the actual vehicles we have a few shots of what's coming in terms of the figure pack kits too. Darth Vader is looking very dominating indeed and each of them is pose-able too if you I'm reading it right. I like the basic Storm Troopers too although I do still think the Clone Troopers looked 'cooler'.

Samurai Darth Vader

Last but not least how about you shake things up with a different take on Darth Vader? This is their Samurai Darth Vader coming out towards the end of the year and gives you a Japanese themed version of the Sith Lord complete with archaic armour and a very cool lightsabre katana.

What do you think of this line-up for Star Wars?
