New The Barons’ War Second Edition Set From Wargames Atlantic!

Wargames Atlantic has announced that they are going to be working with Andy Hobday to bring a second edition of The Barons' War to the tabletop alongside a new game-in-a-box which will get you started with this Medieval skirmish game.

This new boxed set will come out in April 2025 and will feature the full Second Edition Rulebook alongside fifty-four plastic miniatures for you to use to build two forces to do battle on the tabletop. You also get a Getting Started Booklet alongside the dice and tokens you'll need for gameplay and some scenery pieces.

The figures included in the box will give you enough to build twelve Foot Knights, eighteen Foot Serjeants and twenty-four Peasant Levy. All of these are from the existing Medieval plastic sets that Wargames Atlantic produces.

The set also features the terrain components to make eight barricades which can also be used to build a market which is perfect for ransacking.

Pre-orders for The Barons' War Second Edition go live on 11th April and will be available to all from 25th April. The game has gone through an update and a tweak with the Second Edition, but if you'd like to know more, you can watch Wargames Atlantic's interview below...

The pull of the Medieval era has been strong over the last year or so and it seems like this is going to be a rather neat way to get stuck into playing the period without much hassle at all. The Barons' War is a solid set of rules as it stands so this can only be a good thing.
