Osprey Games To Publish Gaslands Racing Game

Osprey Games are going to be publishing the Gasland Post-Apocalyptic racing game in 2017, a game which is currently going through play testing...
If you're a big fan of Mad Max then you'll want to get your mitts on this...
"In Gaslands, you build a post-apocalyptic racing team, made of bikes, cars, trucks, big rigs, buggies and buses.
You equip your vehicles with an array of weapons and then race for money and prestige across a campaign that alternates between races (for money and reputation) and wasteland scraps (for resources and the gas you need for the next race)."
The idea of the game is based on the Hot Wheels vehicles which you can see above. There of course have been some additional accessories including a very big gun added to this particular vehicle.
I love the sounds of it - a great new feather in Osprey's cap.
We'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Seem like the BoW studio crew go a jump on us making their cars
2017? that’ll be post-post-apocalypse car racing by then 😛

Car Wars is the classic version. Steve Jackson Games have promised a redux with a Kickstarter campaign, but I haven’t heard anything recent about that.
Post-Apocalypse in two years time?
0/10 for optimism, fellas – but 10/10 for a game I really want to get into.
I’m 99% certain they mean that the game is being published in 2017. Not the game is set in 2017.

I wish him lots of luck … and I thank him for the Outrider mention in his creator blog … with car wars rebooting in 2016, it’s like a car combat renaissance out there 🙂
