Time Commanders Returns December 12th To BBC4!

A new Time Commanders trailer has popped up for the return of the show on December 12th (time to be confirmed) 2016 on BBC4. The show will be hosted by Greg Wallace who those on this side of the pond will know from MasterChef.
While the trailer above shows them engaging in a Napoleonic-era battle the first episode will head back in time to a fight between Scipio and Hannibal.
From the BBC...
"This time, a team of wrestlers will attempt to rewrite history by defeating Scipio and preventing him from taking the city. Playing Hannibal and his Carthaginians, they’ll be defending their hometown. Up against them, will be a team of historical board game enthusiasts taking on the role of the Romans, in a fight that will set the course of European history for centuries to come."
I don't think it needs to be stated how exciting this is. The original show was awesome and it will be great to see this back on TV, albeit on BBC4. Hopefully, after its short run of three episodes, it will gain enough viewers to make it to the big time!

This was such great fun to film.
Gregg turned out to be a great guy, Mike is even more insane than he appears on camera and Lynette is as frighteningly intelligent as she is charming.

This is now booked into the diary, its on the fridge under a magnet, its in the car note pad, even dare I say in my phones calendar. Now just watch some plonker turn up for a coffee just as it starts, the phone will go to answer so if you’re the one ringing on the 12th then I am sorry but it will be me not picking up.
This is a must watch, but Greg Wallace? I’d rather have had Mel and Sue!

Have they kept the same format? or changed it up?
the trailer suggests that there are life action bits.
IIRC they never showed any of the actual weapons in the show.
Then again … the shows I remember were usually about ancient and Roman era battles.
Brilliant it’s back and even applied for the show. Let’s hope Greg is OK as unsure about him as host but we’ll see

Greg always shows great enthusiasm so don’t write him off yet. Though I’m not sure if I’d let him near my gaming table, spitting pudding all over my minis. lol
