Sanctuary Hills Living Room
Recreating The Fallout video game using a sarissa building. Simple card floor and wall conversion with added furniture.
Sanctuary Hills Kitchen
I got to work on the kitchen for my house and the first thing I did was cut out some simple card tiles for the walls and floors. The cabinets were a bit tricky but I managed the top cabinets just out of card and a piece of lego. The side counter was made from the wild west bar counter from TT Combat.
Sanctuary Hills Store Room
I decided to turn the room just off my kitchen into a store room/pantry. This was a quick room to put together. I just put in some shelving and printed of some tiny props. Abraxo cleaner packets and Sugar Bomb cereal are easy to find on images and I just shrunk them down and stuck them on some card. I then thought about the med packs you find in the game on walls and painted one up.
Sanctuary Hills Spare Rooms
I have finally decorated all of the rooms of my house. Its all been simple card editions to the walls before painting. Just need some furniture to finish the job.
Minute Men Statue
Great thing about collecting historical minis is I had a spare one that would make a great statue. Fallout has the minute men running around Boston so I thought I’d get one of the original minute men as a statue for them to fight around. Easy and quick to put together.
Sanctuary Hills Home Complete
Finally finished my Sanctuary Hills house. Added some TT combat furniture and coated the exterior with some plastic plates to make it look more futuristic.
Bill Board
Picked up the sign from Sarrissa. It has a large footprint on the tabletop and is an easy way to add a bit of character to the world. I decided to not do a Nuka Cola sign just yet. Because I’ve been concentrating on Sanctuary Hills and it has a nearby vault I went for a Vault Tec poster.
Construction Office
TT combat do a very cheap construction office which I thought would be ok for Fallout. Unfortunately the laser cutting seems to be a bit off. So I tried to disguise this with the paint work.
Traders shack
I decided to pull out the front wall to give more access to the interior and add a fridge for selling goods. I need to finish the sign on the roof and I added some posters.
Finished Shack
Finished painting my shack and it’s sign. I decided a MrHandy should be the trading post owner so gave it the names Cogs Traders. The card roof looks good as corrugated metal sheeting.
Red Rocket
I picked this model up at salute. Its an iconic piece of fallout archetecture that looks good when on the table. I did find it a bit unstable and fiddly and I still prefer my scenery to be a bit more three dimensional.
Brotherhood headquarters
I picked up this police station from TT Combat. Thought it would work well for the HQ of the Brotherhood of Steel. Looks Ok with the barricade kit from Modiphius straight from the video game.
Raiders Post
I aimed to make another shack for Fallout resembling the little platforms raiders usually have as guard posts. I found an old ork truck part that I thought would fill the role nicely. Easy enough to add some corrugated iron (Card) and used some old sprues to give it a bit of a lift.
Adding some themed pieces.
I picked up the barricade set and Nuka Cola vending machines. Sticking them next to my home built and converted scenery just puts you straight in the world. I aim to get a few more pieces like this such as terminals for hacking because they make good objectives.
