About the Project

In this project I will adapt a Warhammer Fantasy High Elf army for use as a Highborn Elf army in The 9th Age: Fantasy Battles. And I will further expand the army.

Swordmasters

To expand my existing unit of swordmasters, I’ve bought some of the plastic swordmasters (the others are the older metal ones). I was still one swordmaster short and bought one old metal one too.

My very first pieces of elvish terrain. The statue and the obelisks are from Last Sword. I’ve got a second statue I intend to use for a small terrain project someday.

This project will slow down now as I will concentrate on my dwarfs the coming weeks and start a new project. But I will return to this project.

Griffon

I started on this griffon months ago together with my dragon. At the time I wanted to paint both big monsters simultaneously. That turned out to be a bit much, so I concentrated on the dragon and set the griffon aside. Six months and many elves later, I’ve finally finished it!

This is another miniature from Last Sword. It has the classic foot-on-rock-and-point-with-your-sword-pose.

They’re finished! At last! I’ve been working on these for weeks.

These miniatures are from Last Sword. They are the first miniatures in my army that aren’t from Games Workshop.

Comments

  • Good casts with few mold lines to remove.
  • Difficult to rank up because of the axes and mostly the coats that move in different directions.
  • They come with bases that have a slot for a round 5 mm magnet.
  • Slightly taller than GW High Elves. Not really noticeable on the tabletop, I think.
