About the Project
I felt that its more useful for me to use a common Projekt channel since I switch projects very often. So I will post all the stuff I come to work around here.

Jain Zar - the storm of silence
I painted up this wonderful mini of Jain Zar. The intention was to try some new techniques and get a higher paint standard then I ussually do.
I tried to recreate the jain zar David Colwell did.
With this mini done I will now build up a 1500p Aeldari army (similar to ma AoS project of which I still have to take final pictures)
dreadnoughts done
The dreadnought ships for the spanish american war are done. I already played a round of Gods of War: Togo which is a really good game.
pre dreadnoughts - spanish american war
I finished the first couple of ships for my 2 player starter Gods of War: Togo.
These are 3d printed from GM boardgames. Lovely details on the ships, I just added the expansion of the masts with broom bristles.
Merkava Mk 3 Baz
Since the new Israeli book was realeased for Team Yankee I decidet to ad a platoon of the new Merkava Mk 3 tanks to my existing force. These are beasts and not only ad much needed high anti tank value but also are more protected and mobile then their predecessors.
The flaws of the kit lie in the multi build options for the mk 1 2 and 3. While the Mk 1 and 2 share the same hull the mark 3 has a different one but uses the same as the others in the kit.
This means a bit of conversion work for me. I sanded and filled the sides of the hull as they are smoth on the mark 3. The front lights are both retractable and smaller since they do not sport the IR lights anymore, here I filled and sanded the right one and carved new lines.
The rear of the hull is longer on the original vehicle and the road wheels have different spacing but this and some other small details on the hull were to much for my skill set.
I just added some minor details on the hull baskets.
The turret got the most work as I decided to build the later mk 3 Baz version which got new armour plates, new crosswind sensors, laser warning sensors, a new loaders hatch and a 360° view visor for the commander.
Finally the 50cal got the bag for the spend casings and the hull and turret got anti slip coat I made with gws rust effect.
Antennas are made from collected cat whiskers as on my other tanks (I find them on the favorite spots of my cats from time to time)
BfG Proxy fleet
While waiting for some Panzer IV to arrive to finish my FoW project I worked on another Battlefleet Gothic fleet.
I really like the look of the scourge ships and I will play them as Necron or Tyranids. The current fleet works great as a 1500p Necron fleet for Tyranids I will add alots more Escort vessels.
These are painted in a speed paint attemt with wash over a silver base, 2 thin airbrush layers in red and blue and a few details picked out.
Retributors done
After lots of time invested in this small starter army im finally done. Hard work payed out as they won gold in Armies on Parade last weekend.
Finishing touches on Dystopian Wars
I added a small fleet of ex confederste vessels who now serve under the SUSA flag (Socialist Union of South America). They got a sickly greengray paintjob with battle damage to contrast with their french counterparts.
The imperium fleet finished by adding aa frigates and zeppelin zestroyers.
Space Marines - Bladeguard squad
The most complicated unit is done now. Bladeguard veterans with attached Lieutenant and Captain. next are Terminators and Sternguard which both have much less nmm.
Space Marines - Bladeguard wip
The last 3 models with an extreme amount of nmm are now on the painting table.
These bladeguard veterans will aaccompany my captain and lieutenant.
Space Marines - Part 1
With the Dystopian Wars project finished (just some group shots to do) I wanted to go back to practicing some of the more advanced painting techniques.
In this case non metallic metal, freehand, osl and marble. Instead of painting just some random miniatures I decided to paint a number of space marines to get a small legal army aswell as experience.
15 Space Marine veterans is the goal. 5 terminators, 5 sternguard veterans 3 bladeguard veterans the captain and lieutenant.
The captain and Lieutenant are already done and so the most detailed models are out of the way.
Imperium - part 1
The latest addition to my collection is an Imperium starter box. The colours I used here were loosely based on ww2 german warships including the yellow turret tops.
I still have a cruiser left to build and propably build it as an escort cruiser to accompany the battleship.
The first model I finished is this Kaiser class battleship, a solid chioce and a robust centerpiece.
The cruisers I build from the starter are a support carrier and two bombardment ships with big guns. All of these got interchangeble loadouts to play them as different units should that be necessary.
The small plane taking of from the carrier was part of the sprue and should be glued under deck were its not visible so I decidet to do something else.
Commonwealth - part 1
Following the Alliance fleet I started working on a Commonwealth one. Again starting point was a one player starter force which then got expanded by a Murmansk battlefleet.
Contrasting the clean and elegant look of the french I chose a dark and menacing and battle worn look with lots of chipping and rust.
Currently Im working on the last cruisers and frigates of the second fleet box as this faction will also be taken to 2000pts.
The second flagship is already done. A Tobolsk mobile stronghold.
dystopian Wars - Alliance Part 3
I added a Couronne battlefleet to my existing alliance ships to bring them to 2000pts and now this fleet is finished.
The couronne is a really beautiful shif which captures the french elegance quiet nice and gives my fleet nice carrier support.
I used fleur de lis decals for the front and a hand painted napoleon symbol on the deck to break of the grey/wooden paintjob a bit more
Dystopian War - Alliance Part 1
I had an eye on Dystopian Wars for a really long time now. The designs and rules (wich can be found free on their website) catched me.
It took a wile but our small gaming group decided to start out and I will do the alliance.
I got my hands on the faction starter wich is great value for the price and contains dice, templates marker and a rulebook beside the lovely models.
The first ships I finished are the Richelieu and a couple of cruisers. I used VMC intermediate blue as a base for the grey and added AK ivory for an airbrush modulation. A controled wash (nuln oil + contrast medium) followed by edge highlights was an easy way to bring in some debth. The gold was achieved by painting on VMA aluminium as a base followed by a wash of thinned zealot yellow (ap speedpaint) and a sepia one.
For the flagship I added some flags cut out of yoghurt lids glued to broom bristels.
Honda Clan Samurai
Since the shogun tv show started I thought about building another Samurai warband for Daisho.
So here are the first few minis done. Daisho uses small groups of miniatures so in the end it will be a group of 9 wich is a nice project for in between.
I used the boxart for the samurai as an inspiration and just sculpted on the fur on the jinbaori to match a historical one.
Currently Im working on the final stages on the last 5 Samurai with teppo once they are done every mini get some basing material.
