Blade Runner The Roleplaying Game // Free League Publishing

This new roleplaying game uses the acclaimed Year Zero engine that has previously been implemented into the likes of the ALIEN RPG and Tales From The Loop. It is going to be tailored once to suit the investigative cyberpunk world of Blade Runner.

You will take on the role of Blade Runners each with their own unique specialities, personalities and memories. Could you be a Replicant? That's where the world of Blade Runner comes to life as you investigate runaway Replicants, corporate espionage and more. All of this is tied up in moral conflicts, existential character drama and how humanity thrives or dies in this dystopian world.

The roleplaying game will be set in the year 2037 after the Wallace Corporation debuts the Nexus-9 Replicants on Earth. You can then choose to either play as a Human or a Replicant Blade Runner, whichever takes your fancy.

You'll be dropped into the overstretched world of the LAPD's Rep-Detect Unit where you'll have to decide which side of the coin you come down on. I really like that they are going hard on the moral choices and the idea of deep, investigative roleplaying with this game. It suits the setting incredibly well.

I am very eager to see what they do with this game come next year. I can imagine we're going to get another beautiful core book and Starter Set.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die..."
