What’s in the Box: Dark Angels – Time For a Look at The New Toys!!!

The guys sit down to have a peek at the new Dark Angels kits the Ravenwing Dark Talon, the Land Speeder Vengeance, the Deathwing Command Squad and last but not least the Ravenwing Command Squad.
So guys will you be picking up any of these kits?
I never understand why they never put enough of a particular weapon in the kit. They do this time and time again, I know they see the complaints.
They only care about selling units. If they can force you to buy more, they will. It’s a business.
I get where your coming from, but I know they also see these bits sites where you can pick up individual pieces. Who buys 5 boxes of these for just the thunder hammers? No one, you go online and buy 4 more individually. Either way, all these kits look pretty decent, I am disappointed in the lack of pose-ability of the terminators. Nice video thanks guys!
The guy you bought them off online bought the full boxes for those 4 hammers. You might not buy them but someone has to.
Think that the kits are ok. Bikes and terminators are best of the bunch though, but I can’t help feeling they are extracting the urine with the prices (even in GW standards it is OTT!!). It seems as though they are selling them to the LGS stores at the price they should be selling them to gamers imho, therefore even after 30% off they are still expensive, which is mind boggling to say the least.
I would say the flyer is quite nice if you don’t build it with the shrine on the back… 🙂

I like how the Ravenwing Biker kit comes with some extra Beak Helmets. I agree, I don’t really care for the new Ravenwing Speeder it seems like it was just thrown together.
Thanks for the unboxings
I found that the Land Speeder kit actually looks really cool in person. Just my take on it 🙂
In my experience, the painting style of GW done on their box art and website art doesn’t always bring out the best of a model. Asmodai, for example, looks a bit cartoonish with his bib and robes in the art, but when bought one and painted up in my own scheme, it looks mean and menacing.
again like the three people unboxing different boxes 🙂 love how the knights look but then there ravenwing they were always gonna look cool…. the speeder might be nice if you cut it so only have the front half? i quite like the little pulpit gun thing its the back i dont like…. and my mate complains bout the lack of welsh all the time!
Of all the kits the terminators would be my pick, I think the landspeeder with all the gubbins on it is probably the worst looking vehicle in the entire range, and the bikes just seem a bit poor in comparison to the amount of options you get , not just in the command kit, but in the likes of blood angels and space wolf kits, I’d feel a bit short changed out of that lot. The terminators are nice sculpts, nice detail and lots of options, although with the price they are coming at if you buy an assault termi… Read more »
Looks like GW were right to clarify the combat knife issue in the faq after all. 🙂
Great report guys only spoilt by the minimum content on bases. @darrell made the effort to grab the viewers attention and why Andy and Justin didn’t pick up the ball and run with it, God only knows.
“9937999037” this the kind of detail we want.
How about a BoW Base Week
Enjoy 🙂

Looking at several kits is ok, but I like to see the things built and hear your comments on the building of them
I have to disagree with you guys as I don’t think the nephilim is the best flyer; it’s almost the same price as a storm raven but it’s worse all around. I think the dark talon with it’s rift cannon and hurricane bolters is better, it’s cheaper, you can team it up with the rad grenades the black knights can use. But I think the dark shroud will probably see the most play out of all of them, there’s always a use for a mobile cover save. As for me I’ll stick with snap firing krak missiles at flyers from… Read more »
I think they are saying its the best flyer for the Dark Angels..
For the love of God. Please tell me you’re not sticking to this format from now on.
With the exception of the close cam, the previous way of presenting the unboxings was far, far better.
Not sure but as long as Darrell continues to use the correct 40K terminology such as “Ticklestick Maces!” I don’t really care! lol
The only prob I have with them is that you don’t get to see the models built which is a shame, especially with the new kits such as the Nephilim fighter.
I can’t help but think that was due to the kits costing a fortune and preventing resale – probably wrong though.
Could you expand on what was wrong with the format? I didn’t see it was hugely different?
It is a what is in the box show so you get what you… erm… see in the box/on the box?
John used to do build and paint projects iirc
Would be good to see that make a come back.
What ho folks – will there be fast attack, elites and heavy support videos as well?
And yes, I’d quite like the moon on a stick as well 🙂
