You can't stop the signal as we continually say! We have a weekender for you chaps and this time we have some very interesting topics to talk about. Warhammer Fantasy is the name of the day with whisperings of Wood Elves and Dwarfs on the horizon. Can't wait for that!
As well as that we have an update on the move thus far, a look at these tantalising teasers from Prodos Games for Alien Vs Predator and the Mars Attacks Kickstarter has gone from strength to strength.
An Update: Those miniatures you're seeing of Predators are from Predastore, not Prodos. Warren got excited!

Brilliant weekender with wonderful scenery, love to see more of Northern Ireland.
With regard to the coverage of games, would it be possible to have more historical games covered? Game systems like SAGA appear to be a relatively cheap and fun way of getting into tabletop gaming.
I really like the board game coverage, it was instrumental in me buying Mice & Mystics this week, so keep up the good work.

Best Weekender ever! The landscape was beautiful and the general impression was so refreshing!
That’s an impressive amount of injuries in a short time Warren and you still look healthier than when the “GW” issue was looming over your head.
To me after much internal debate, what you decided is best for your integrity and the wargaming community as a whole and surprisingly enough the worse for GW, they do not want to see their products been commented from sources they cannot control and they do not want to see their products next to other products, let alone compare their products with other products.

Ah, the familiar view if Inishowen and Lough Foyle from the one of the many viewpoints dotted along the Benevenagh plateau. A magnificent backdrop for the Three Amigos. Great to see you back on the air, and I have enjoyed the 2 parter Dropzone Commander game in the meantime – very, very entertaining.

Oh, forgot – the pronunciation of the ‘Nuns with Guns’ – Adeptus I think was fine, but it is easy enough to manage the second word if you just break down the syllables. Sororitas = So-ro-ri-tas.

Last night on earth was on Wheaton’s Tabletop at some point if I remember correctly, great game, as I said in the big ‘announcement’ discussion, keeping going with GW content is the right thing, not just because like the company or not its games are a big part of the hobby, but because it seems to royally annoy them when you do have their games on here for some reason, so I say keep at it.
Well Guys i just have to say that i am so super glad and proud to be apart of this amazing online community. It’s especially because of you guys that i found my new and absolute love for Infinity. And i know that the future for Beasts of War is blindingly BRIGHT! ;D
Good to see you all made it in me piece (or mostly in Warren’s case!). Sounds cool setting up your own space for the new studio. As you say the response to Warren’s video was immense and a little fraught in places but the overwhelming take away from that is the love and support for BOW in the community. I know the thought of a KS etc was discussed by some and I know Backstage is the way you are looking to get support you need but I think there is definitely opportunity there. There was also talk regarding ideas such as BoW clothing such as tees, hoodies, hats etc, trips and participation events, such as painting days with Romain etc, Skype or google hangout type events if not face to face (although now you guys are back in Ireland seriously considering a family trip over next year and perhaps a meet up or some gaming with the BoW team;) all could help fund the project and your ideas further. I for one would support this and I am sure others would to. Great to see you back, hope the families are all ok ad looking forward to all new BOW 3.0. All the best. Pete.

Love the KoW Week, i’ll put my hands to paint all those skeletons and werewolf that i have starring at me all night. I hope you do some complete batreps, no need for a how to play since is really easy to play, i want to see some strategy and cheese :D.
AvP will my way to get some of my friends that are not into miniatures and even my father probably, so i really want to get those ( and i have a soft spot for both Predators and Aliens , ladies specially 😉 ). Hope to see more of those and other companies getting to participate with terrain, bits and maybe some stencils for the predators/alien skin !
You kinda forgot Golem Arcana ( i know, to much stuff going on ), they manage to hit their goal and they are now on paypal until the end of the month trying to get their first stretch goal.
Having the videos shot outside so far is working out great. When you’re filming outside do you get people gathering to watch what your doing?

Wow, what a gorgeous backdrop for the Weekender! We were so happy to have you back that we joined in with hot tea and cookies. BTW, I agree with Justin that Munchkin Deluxe makes a nice visual for newbies and kids.
With all that epic scenery could you not hold a Saturday outdoor game-a-thon to raise funds? While an ocean prohibits my attendance, I would gladly pay extra to watch the fun unfold on video.

While I can see where people are coming from when they say don’t cover GW stuff, I don’t think your caving in. IMHO by breaking with Wayland and covering GW stuff your actually doing the opposite by giving them the big FU. They tried to stop you from covering their stuff but now your doing what you have to do to cover them. So I say Bravo and can’t wait for the future of BOW. As I know your coverage of other games won’t slacken, I won’t mind seeing some GW stuff now aswell.

Weekender works great out on location as its essentially banter with photos dropped in after, just waiting now for the inevitable pub episode when its blowing a gale and the rain is coming at you sideways in a month or so.

I remember, many years back, some guys that used to play 40k outside in their yard. “Why build terrain when you have it right there?” I also recall an unfortunate casualty where a marine was stepped on because he was so well camoflagued.
Last Night on Earth is a fantastic game, super thematic, and although it looks uneven (and it should, just like any zombie movie does), things can really swing either way. Even better, my girl loves it and it’s served as a great gateway for movie loving non-gamers. So much so the husband of one of my girl’s friends has bought a set of zombies to paint for the game. Double gateway bonus!
Flying Frog has a Kickstarter around the corner (in a couple days?) for weird west vs cthulhu-ish critters in mines or somesuch called Shadows of Brimstone. Since I dig on LNOE, Touch of Evil, and Fortune and Glory (haven’t done the Mars Attacks-esque martians attacking a circus one yet) I’ll be keeping an eye on that one.

Warren is always big on the merging of digital and table top with the advent of 3D printing and such. Well it would appear this is even further down the road than one would suspect.
