Twisted, a fantastic Steampunk skirmish game that featured absolutely brilliant 32mm scale miniatures, isn't dead! The company behind it, under new leadership, has been attending conventions and demoing the game and a new 2nd Edition of the game will be making its mark in the future!

There is still a lot going on behind the scenes when it comes to the development of the new edition of Twisted and a lot of that detail can be found, month by month, over on their Facebook Page. A crowdfunding campaign (or set of campaigns) will be at the heart of this revival, but it will all kick off with the reintroduction of the rules.

You'll be able to dive into a big new book and a limited edition tome that you can use for diving into the game. It will feature updated rules for solo play, a new campaign called The Nameless, where you'll be able to build your own Company, new themed rules, a new school for Alchemy in the game and updates to all of the factions.

All of the existing rules will then get updated through FAQs or Errata and a few characters might even get updated versions to bring them in line with the new storyline. The new book will also be absolutely jampacked with lore and they have already mentioned that there will be twenty stories included, with a further half a dozen or so heading to the new website when it launches.

In addition to the new Rulebook, you'll also be able to get your hands on brand new miniatures, which will expand the options for Twisted's existing factions. For example, the Dickensians will get The Orphanage. The Servants of the Machine will get The Inquisition. Both will feature new characters and add to the character of the factions.

There will also be two new factions, The Queen's Court and Mercenaries, each getting two Companies to start them off. So, a lot for you to look forward to!

You'll have noted that I've been showing off some of the awesome miniatures that were produced in the past for Twisted here in this article. It really did have a unique and fascinating look to it and that's why it caught our attention all of those years ago! We even have some unboxings of the old miniatures you can check out in the Twisted Game Hub.

Even more is planned to bring this amazing Steampunk skirmish game back to the tabletop. It would be a shame if it completely vanished but it seems like there is some real passion behind the project that should bring it back to the tabletop in style.

It seems like there is also a big team behind the revamp and update of Twisted as well. Loads of partners have come on board. Journeyman Miniatures are working on crossover miniatures in 75mm scale, Warsenal are doing the tokens and templates, Mats by Mars is doing (big surprise) gaming mats, Avante Art World are working on paint sets and Stormcrow Scenery are doing some terrain!

I am very excited for the future of Twisted and I would love to see this be a success. We will keep an eye on the coming crowdfunding campaign but ahead of that, make sure you follow that Facebook Page!
