Begin The Siege With Tabletop Workshop’s New Castle Set!

Tabletop Workshop have put their Basic Castle Set up for pre-order on their webstore! Every Englishman's home is his castle so I reckon we're all going to need to pick this one up...
The set comes with...
- 4 x Fortified Round Towers
- 3 x Fortified Walls
- 1 x Fortified Castle Wall Gate
- 4 x Tower Wall Connector Pieces
...and is a big modular plastic kit that allows you to do some fighting inside and on the walls and towers as well as on top of them during a siege. We've previewed their sets a long time ago and it's great to see it hit the webstore properly. You'll have a very basic square castle with this, in terms of set-up, but it would be perfect for some skirmishing or if you fancy playing out a grand siege.
I haven't played many sieges before on the tabletop so it would be cool to see how it works using some good terrain like this. If what you're fighting over looks great then you'll little men will fight much harder!
Will you begin erecting your castle?
I really like this, but I’m just starting with hirst molds and I think I will invest the money in them.
You know that after all of the effort you’d put into a Hirst molds castle it would looks utterly incredible!
If you’ve not got the patience, this thing seems like a pretty good place to start. It’s a bit bland for me, though.
Maybe a few… skulls here or there wouldn’t go amiss? ;P

Wow, just wow. That is really good looking castle set.
Castle walls and towers are among the easiest things to build, if you’re a newbie to making your own terrain. Polystyren, a craft knife, wood glue, and wall filler and you’re away to the races.

While this looks lovely the way it’s painted, I would have to go with the cheaper castle from *gasp* Games Workshop (never in my life did I think those words would come out of my mouth).
‘Games Workshop’ and ‘cheaper’ appearing in the same sentence without near lethal levels of sarcasm to go with it? ‘Tis unprecedented! I would need a stiff drink if I wasn’t a teetotaler. 😉

Can this be combined with the GW fortifications?
I think the GW stuff is too small. If I’m not mistaken, their stuff was mostly designed as a LOS block. Their houses and Tudor style fortifications are definitely too small.
