Lady Malys Leads New Drukhari Codex For Warhammer 40,000
September 9, 2025 by brennon
Games Workshop previewed the new miniatures and final Codex to drop for the current 10th Edition of Warhammer 40,000. Lady Malys leads the way for the Drukhari, who are getting a little bit of a revamp to cap off this edition of the hit Sci-Fi wargame.
Lady Malys // Warhammer 40,000
Lady Malys was leaked many moons ago when the miniature was mistakenly sent in a package to someone by Games Workshop. Now, however, we're getting a proper look at the miniature in all of her painted glory. If you've played Baldur's Gate III, then you might be wondering if she borrowed her style from Shadowheart! Still, a nice new addition to the range as the Archon of the Poisoned Tongue.
Lady Malys (Details) // Warhammer 40,000
Lady Malys is as deadly with her tongue as she is with her blades. She carries a barbed longsword, which she has named Lady's Bane and a fan of knives. Using her strange concoctions, she can make units that she joins even more deadly. She can also send her warriors scattering, vanishing into the shadows before the enemy can strike back.
A nice new miniature for the Drukhari and another great special character that you could base a force around. It would be neat to see her painted in different armour styles, perhaps in a blood red, for example!
New Drukhari Archon
The old Drukhari Archon has also been retired and replaced with a brand new plastic kit, which you can customise to make your own, unique Archon to lead your Drukhari into battle. You can arm your Archon with a selection of different weapons and wargear plus different heads.
Drukhari Archon // Warhammer 40,000
A Drukhari Archon is nothing to be sniffed at and can hold their own in combat. You will find that they are best when fighting on the frontlines alongside their Incubi bodyguard, revelling in the brutality of the moment and the pain they are inflicting on the enemy.
Drukhari Archon (Alternative Builds) // Warhammer 40,000
I quite like the helmeted version of the Archon, who could be heading to the frontlines. You could also have a second Archon in a larger army, perhaps with the cruel sneer, watching from the back and directing the chaos. Maybe the characters in your army could be twins who hate each other bitterly and keep trying to get the other killed?
New Battleforce & Combat Patrol
As well as the new characters, you will also be able to scoop up a new Battleforce for the Drukhari and their 10th Edition Codex. This will be the first place that you can get the new plastic Archon miniature (which will be available separately at a later date).
Realspace Raiders Battleforce // Warhammer 40,000
This new Battleforce could be a great starting point for someone diving into the Drukhari. You get the new plastic Archon alongside ten Wyches, ten Kalabite Warriors, five Hellions, five Scourges, five Incubi and the Venom for dropping your elite troops into the heart of battle.
It's still a bit of a shame that the Archon is "locked" behind the Battleforce box for someone who already collects the Drukhari. I imagine players will already have a few Archons of their own but having to wait for the new plastic kit is unfortunate.
If you'd like to try a different path towards getting started in Warhammer 40,000 with the Drukhari, then you can also snap up a new Combat Patrol soon.
Drukhari Combat Patrol // Warhammer 40,000
This new Combat Patrol for the Drukhari is themed around the Haemonculi and the twisted, warped experiments of the Drukhari. A Haemonculus leads the way for the Coven of Agonies, which is then filled with horrors and terrors beyond imagination, including a Talos, Cronos and ten Wracks.
I think this is a nifty theme for the Drukhari and I would imagine this can then be folded into a new Detachment in the upcoming Codex that focuses on the Haemonculi. Ranks of twisted experiments and hulking brutes charging across the tabletop would be fun to see. It's a shame that we'll probably lose all of their quirky animals in the new Codex, though.
New Drukhari Codex
Capping things off, we have the new Codex for the Drukhari, which will most likely come out before the end of the year.
Codex: Drukhari // Warhammer 40,000
This will come with plenty of in-depth background lore for the Drukhari, plus plenty of artwork giving you ideas for how to run the Drukhari on the tabletop. You will get five Detachments to play around with and a new take on the way Power from Pain works for the army. Hopefully, this will end up being a good way to carry the Drukhari through into the next edition, where they will most likely get their proper revamp.
This Codex will mark the final one for 10th Edition Warhammer 40,000, which means that the start of next year will probably be the preserve of narrative campaign books. This will then likely lead to 11th Edition in the Summer of 2026. I do wonder how much they can iterate on Warhammer 40,000 at this point. I think 10th has settled quite nicely for people and it would be a shame if they completely change everything up once again.
What do you make of the new Drukhari miniatures?

GW continueing their tradition of stealing other people’s IP, while being incredibly harsh on others hinting at theirs, I see.
Don’t tell me that character is not supposed to be Shadowheart.
Who? @darkvoivod
Malys’ head looks like Shadowheart from BG3
It sucks that they lost models, and there will be a new edition 6 months after it comes out which is insane. They can’t just let things settle for a few years
