So it looks like we're definitely getting ourselves a Total War: Warhammer game. No spin-off series, no Total Warrior action game sideline project, a full on Total War game set in the Warhammer Fantasy world. How do we know? Early copies of Creative Assembly's new Art of Total War book got into the wilderness and one line of text spoiled the whole thing...

Empire (Art)

Not the most exciting way to find out about this future project being worked on by a new team within the studio but it does raise some questions for us as lovers of the Old World.

Total War Warhammer (Leak)

With the way things are going in the Old World are we going to see Creative Assembly wait until the new edition of the tabletop game and then develop a game based on this? Or, will it do what Mark of Chaos did and take an alternative history look at the Old World and use the tried and tested background we all know about?

Considering the scope and scale of Total War games I can't see it being in line with the new 'skirmish' angle that Games Workshop are going for. I think people would prefer to see their big armies on the screen rather than smaller warbands.

Would you play it?
