Pre-Order Three New Starter Armies For Konflikt ’47!
September 30, 2025 by brennon
Warlord Games are now taking pre-orders for three brand new Starter Armies for those wanting to dive into their Weird World War wargame, Konflikt 47. If you weren't taken by the Axis or the United States, you can also get Starter Armies for the Japanese, Soviet Bloc and the British Commonwealth now!
Empire of Japan Starter Army // Konflikt '47
We start with the Empire of Japan, which has adopted a different style of warfare from the other factions fighting in Konflikt '47. They use the power of stealth and Rift technology to phase through solid objects, striking from where you least expect them. This means they often launch coordinated close-quarters attacks before fading away as quickly as they appear!
This Starter Army comes with all of the miniatures you'd need for starting Konflikt '47 as the Empire of Japan, as well as your Order and Rift Dice. At the core of the set is the exclusive figure for the set, the LMG-armed Platoon Commander in their Assault-Frame Powered Armour.
Empire of Japan Platoon Commander // Konflikt '47
As well as the new Platoon Commander, you will also get a unit of the Assault-Frame Armoured Infantry and a Ghost Attack Squad. These infantry units are then supported by the Sasori Light Walker plus an upgunned Chi-Ha tank that has been fitted with a Shiboru Cannon. This means that your armoured elements should be able to hold the line whilst the rest of the army sneaks around, secures objectives and kills the enemy from the shadows.
Empire of Japan Starter Army - Miniatures // Konflikt '47
This is a super cool army that really leans into the way that the Empire of Japan work in the lore of Konflikt '47. Whilst other factions are embracing the future, the Japanese are looking to the past, especially in the wake of the appearance of monsters and other horrors in the world. It makes sense to turn to the traditions of the Samurai and the strength they bring to the battlefield.
Fear The Soviet Bloc!
If you'd prefer to go down a different route, then you could also try dominating the battlefield with the Soviet Bloc and their new Starter Army.
Soviet Bloc Starter Army // Konflikt '47
The Soviet Bloc are hell-bent on getting their hands on their own Rift and this Soviet war machine is powered by clanking armoured walkers, twisted genetic creations and unrelenting manpower. Much like with the other Starter Army sets, you get all of your awesome miniatures as well as Order and Rift Dice to start playing the game with.
Soviet Bloc Platoon Commander // Konflikt '47
Leading the way for the Soviets, you have another exclusive Platoon Commander that can lead the way on the tabletop. He is backed up by two mighty units of Ursus Infantry that are going to be unstoppable in close quarters, tearing their way through infantry and armour with ease. Backing them up are the Moroz Gul, who can chill their air around them and use their Killing Mist ability to make your opponent unable to fight back.
Soviet Bloc Starter Army - Miniatures // Konflikt '47
As well as the infantry element of this force, you will also get the towering Molot walker, which is going to be a slow and purposeful way of smashing apart enemy vehicles. You also have the T34-ZP, which is a new Rift-powered tank using a Zvukovoy Preyektor weapon to shatter the enemy with its shockwaves.
An excellent force for those looking to pick up an army absolutely packed with strange, genetic experiments that are going to rip and tear their way across the battlefield. I think you could get away with a great grim and dirty paint scheme for these miniatures.
Stiff Upper Lip!
Finally, you have the British Commonwealth Starter Army, which is going to be great for those seeking to fight for Blighty and beyond.
British Commonwealth Starter Army // Konflikt '47
The British Commonwealth navigates the battles of this new age with grit, determination, and British resolve. This is exemplified by their clanking armoured infantry and the plentiful, equally hefty armoured backup they provide for their vehicles.
British Commonwealth Platoon Commander // Konflikt '47
Again, you're leading the way with the Platoon Commander (exclusive to the Starter Army) who will take command of two squads of Automated Infantry. They can lay down some heavy fire with their MMGs across both the Mk I and Mk II variants. Being automatons, they are immune to the horrors of war and will keep fighting when death is staring them in the face. A solid way to hold the line against the ever-growing forces arrayed against them in this era of Weird warfare.
British Commonwealth Starter Army - Miniatures // Konflikt '47
As well as the Automated Infantry, you'll also get a squad of the power-armoured human Galahad infantry, who are just as hard to move from their positions. Get them stuck into the fighting quickly and have that Platoon Commander on hand with his own Tesla Rifle at the ready.
As well as the troops, you've also got an armoured contingent in the form of the clanking Percival Assault Walker, which makes use of an M17 Tesla Cannon and plenty of rockets. You also have the Humber Mk VII, which has been fitted with twin automatic cannons and auto-computational assistance, which allow it to fire on the move without penalty. Some great supporting units which can keep the enemy pinned down whilst you advance.
These are all great starting points for someone diving into Konflikt '47, which is making it very hard not to pre-order right now. I really like the British Commonwealth set and the miniatures from the Soviet Bloc as well.
Which of these Starter Armies will you be buying?

That scorpion reminds me of a video game which I can’t remember the name of now. Was a kind of mech war thing. Early PC…. dang it. It hate it when that happens XD
Could it be this from Wasteland 2?
I really like the japanese starter set, all the mechs and the british robots.
I don’t want to always be the axis, but the Scorpion is so cool.
But in this the Empire of Japan is it’s own thing – so your good to go 🙂
I don’t always want to be the bad guys. I get that enough as a GM.
The Axis nearly had me with spider bots, but I think Japan has upped them with the Scorpion.
However, I’ll inevitably drift to Commonwealth because lightning guns always win.
Japanese Platoon Commander got the Forrest Gump ultra cool metal legs upgrade!
Run, Forrest-san, run!
Russian T-34 got the room heater upgrade instead of a gun to keep the Commies warm at night – how thoughtful! 🔥
The Japanese set looks really decent.
I really like the look of the British in this set
I think these are all existing models, because the website lists them all as ‘resin / warlord resin’.
It is nice to have all the goodies in one boxed set though.
or these are new sculpts, but not in the fancy plastic like the starter set forces.
The werewolves do look a bit different in hind sight.
I believe they are all new sculpts in warlord resin. At the infantry, not sure about the tanks.
Commonwealth look snazzy, loving the tin hat robot troopers
the soviet one is the best looking weird war one here for me!
They all look awesome, but i preordered the soviet starter set.
How Goethe
O
Soviet bloc look awesome! Hope shay gets to review and paint a box!
Really nice minis, pity Warlords didn’t do more in plastic.
No! Metal or even nice resin is better. Not poopy half-plastic/half-resin, though.
I was planning to add to my Bolt Action British, but those Japanese units look amazing. I might have to start a new army.
After seeing these I might start putting feelers out in our community to see if anyone else is interested in the game. BA is played but not by people you want to play for fun. Those Soviets are awesome looking. Good of them to fit a giant heater to the front of that tank to help everyone through those long winter nights
Just order the old Soviet bloc starter, now to get this one in november
I really like the British. The robot look really interesting.
if i wouldnt had my hydra/axis forces i would go fo japan force so bad! best looking models
French themed Brits for me!
That Japanese Mech looks great
Those brit robot legs look spindly 😱
Really like the japanese style being a mix of new technology with a traditional look!
the british look better then expected XD
Man, all of these armies look incredible! The Japanese scorpion, the Soviet bear infantry, the British automatons. I can’t decide which i love more!!!
Tempted by the Japanese… And the Soviet bears… And the tinpot Tommies. I see a problem here.
